How about Tiax NPC?

I mean, kelsey constantly makes good decisions, Valen evil ones, so who is left for "totally random" ones?
I do not know how to make a mod, but i can submit banter packs if it will come to actually doing it.
Edit: spelling

I would really like Tiax as a joinable NPC in BG2.
Though I'm not sure what the best way to go about it would be - rescue him straight from Spellhold? Then you'd have to have him survive the Irenicus fight. Also, adding another BG1 - BG2 transition character does seem slightly overdone. Though I guess he is present anyway, and there's no real reason (aside from his death) the PC wouldn't want him back anyway... Hmm.
Also, it could make for an interesting Pocket Plane challenge in ToB when you meet Cyric.
One thing, I think Tiax is Chaotic Evil rather than Chaotic Neutral.

And yes he is Chaotic Evil, but I do believe CN suits him better, being crazy and all.
Anyway, I've thought about the prospect some more and I think he might actually make a useful BG2 NPC. Cleric/Theif was pretty crappy in BG1, and a lousy choice for a PC in BG2 when there are so many awesome kits, but as an NPC 'utility' character, I think Tiax could actually be quite useful. As things stand you are basically forced to go with Anomen or Viconia if you want a well rounded party, and theif selection is pretty limited, but with Tiax taking care of *both* those roles, that leaves a nice bit 'o room for people who actually know how to fight, like Keldorn and Korgan. Hell, this could actually give me room to use Valygar and Mazzy together, something I've allways wanted to try but never been able to fit into a good 6 character party (yes, I'm a powerplayer). Oh, and don't forget Use Any Item will remove the cleric weapon restrictions
I wish you guys luck in getting this off the ground... but please don't waste your time unless you think you can pull this off on a reasonable timetable, cuz in that case it'd be better to try and contribute to other still-in-development NPCs.
You know what I'm saying: a handful of *finished* NPCs is a far superior situation to 10,000,000,000 *still-in-development* ones!

Since that tiax is mad he can be chaotic neutral. He will escape the battle with john boy via dimension door, straight to the place where Saemon teleports you. You can take him and still leave for U-D directly. He will not be that weak, and will be able to stand his ground (backstabbing with staff of the ram while using righteous magic... that will hurt!!).
Apart of his great rp value and his total unpredectability he will be an usefull NPC.
So...let's come to the point.
Ladies and Gentelman, we need a programmer. Or several programmers, since that i do not even know how to spell weidu properly.
I can supply banters and post them here or send them via e-mail and give ideas but that will be it.

Anyways, random crazies who have no problem hurting people are CE. It's not like you ever saw Tiax do anything nice.
Oh, and Black Baron - salutes from your friendly neighborhood shekemist.

Hmm, to tell you the truth i always found it strange that some "big jobs" in lathander temple is evil when detect evil has been cast. So i do not know about the commoners.
At any rate Tiax is mad, and thus unpredictable. He can help someone if he will help him to "take over the world", or kill him because he views him as a threat. His aligment plays a secondary role in his charachter.

I am afraid that the easiest way to attract a coder is to teach yourself to code.Ladies and Gentelman, we need a programmer. Or several programmers, since that i do not even know how to spell weidu properly.

If you are looking for writing job exclusevly, it is easier to apply with the projects who look for writers - and there are a few out there who need extra hand with writing.

Welll... those NPC's whose alignment wasn't determined by accident (those that you accept into your party for example) are more in line with 3e alignments then 2e...
And for a little explanation on aligments:
CG - You like to help people, and value your freedom - a lot.
CN - You value your freedom above all. "Nobody tells me what to do!". A typical teenager is CN... Many "loonies" are CN, but that in no way means that all CN are loonies (sort of like self-righteous morons and LG...)
CE - You don't like anyone telling you what to do, and are quite likely to hurt people who try to. Actually, you're liable to hurt people for fun and profit anyway... and that's where our friend Tiax comes in...

Domi - didn't you say in the Kivan romance thread that you dislike this sort of thing?

Yep, I do not like spin-offs, and that's why I interviened with my Oh! so subtle irony. Sorry, I should try to start sleeping one of those days. Kish, that's you?Xaositect - and that would be better then actually having a CE character that IS Tiax, how?
