Edwin: Tell me simian, where's the source of all venom you're spilling in your art? Loves full of betrayals, poisoned lovers... maybe even if you're looking as 'women' person who can gain attention of noblewomans, maybe you've got some problem with them? You know, if you want some help in this matter...
Eldoth: Red mage, please, stop it and share your interest with someone *other* than me. Especially I don't want to hear anything about your Thayvans "initiations" and "rituals"...
Edwin: You're insuinating me that.. that I WANTED TO PROPOSE... (for gods! Who is he to judge Edwin, the all-mighty woman-lover who's charm is as powerfull as his magic!)
Eldoth: Edwin, nevermind. Question of your bed partner is just up to you: you can end with fine lad, maybe you're preffering young boys - someone other would be quite happy with goat. And be sure that yes, I can accept your preffered vision of spending free time with another man, even if I do prefer these delicious and rich noblewomans, but you know... I can accept it unless you're staying far away from bedroll. Okay?
Edwin: (Right, I'll be far away when this fireball will explode in your...)

I WANT THAT BANTER NAO!!! :woot: :ROFL:

There's already an Eldoth NPC (this should be in the CrossmodBanterPack :D Eldoth NPC-Edwin romance :P)

EDIT: :doh: wrong link :P

Heheh, I'm glad that you like it - even with my terrible language (in original, polish version it sounds far better) so it's quite strange for me. ;P Dunno, this project probably doesn't have any future, I've got some old, archived notes, banters, Charlatan kit, revised character and you know, I'm just not capable of writing serious mod in foreign language. And writing dialogues in WeiDU is a black magic for me.

Lol - wrong link. http://www.shsforums...ds&showfile=695
It doesn't look promising, y'know.

Eldoth? Now we're talking :P!

Given his awesomeness man would I keep a place for the neutral evil bard!

So many things to work on yet so little time to spare :ph34r:
I am: Human-Essentric (Halflings/Gnomes/Dwarves/Tieflings are favored)
Fetish: Backstab Ability (That includes Blackguards!)
Alignment: Mainly Any Evil and, to some extent, Chaotic Neutral
Nemesis:
Aasimar (Unless s/he's evil like Belueth the Calm)
Elf (I just don't like those pointy ears)
Paladin (You could guess why)
Weapon of Choice:
Short Sword/Thrown Daggers + Buckler

Given his awesomeness man would I keep a place for the neutral evil bard!

In BG1 he was one of the most terrible NPCs 'thanks' to his stats, proficiencies, special abilities, class... damn, because of everything. I think that in BG2 I've fixed it quite right. In my build Eldoth is ranged-oriented type of character who can fight well using crossbow and throwing daggers (especially with new special ability - instead of creating poisoned arrows he can once per day use Asassin's Envenom Poison which reflects his treachery [sometimes you just have to finish... stuff]). So, here are alternative stats.

Strenght 13 Dexterity 16 Constitution 12 Intelligence 15 Wisdom 10 Charisma 17
Profinencies: crossbow, dagger, long sword, dart
Special ability: once per day Envenom Weapon

So here's nothing awesome, still he's quite capable of ranged fighting and spellcasting - and even he cannot be certainly excluded from melee. If you've seen his BG1 stats where he had 12 Dexterity and was capable of creating poisoned arrows... damn.

Also I've created Charlatan kit which reflected his way of living quite fine.

CHARLATAN: ...

Advantages:
- +10% bonus to pickpocketing
- Charlatan's song doesn't help his allies (with exception of thieves and bards). Instead, it's affecting every humanoidal enemy in 15' who have to do a successful save vs. spells or:
1st level: deafness (+4 bonus to save)
10th level: deafness (+2 bonus to save), stun (+4 bonus to save)
15th level: deafness (no bonus), stun (+2 bonus to save), charm (+4 bonus to save)
- Song also have minor, additional effect that when it's sung all Pickpocketing, Hide in Shadows and Stealth skill scores are raised by 10%.

Disadvantages:
- With exception of thieves and bards, his song doesn't help his allies
- Gains only 3 points of lore per level

Name: Zungmar
Race: Orc (If Possible)
Gender: Male
Class: Barbarian
Stats:
Str: 19
Dex: 17
Con: 17
Int: 5
Wis: 12
Chr: 7

Alignment: TN

Weapons:
Spear: ++
Club: +
Bastard Sword: ++
2H Style: +

Zungmar rebalances his XP based on your level, so don't worry about any further weaponry wastes.

Bio: As orcs go, Zungmar isn't all that extrordinary, other than the fact that he isn't living amongst a community of his kin, waiting to be gutted by adventurers. Zungmar came to Athkatla hearing that somehow he had produced a mongrel son, but he doesn't beleive it. He has had trouble and has had to convince travellers that he's not a truly barbaric orc, and has pretended to be a more 'noble' Half Orc with... mixed results. While he doesn't enjoy altruism, cruelty seems to have much less appeal when rewards prove favorable.

Zungmar will romance females as long as there is no elf blood in them. He finds himself also attracted to Nalia, though she tends to rebuke him due to his blatant, cave man sounding crudeness (both in speech pattern and choiced words.)

Zungmar has a few quests, one involving his bastard half-orc son, and another involving some Orc hunters, though it's mostly combat.

Zungmar has no special equipment, but what're ya gonna do with your spears, eh? Give em to Valygar? Just watch out for One Hit KO Mind Flayers.

Name: Karsi
Race: Deurgar Dwarf
Gender: Female
Class: Fighter/Thief
Stats:
Str: 18/29
Dex: 17
Con: 18
Int: 13
Wis: 16
Chr: 8

Alignment: LN

Weapons:
Long Sword: ++
Axe: +
Cross Bow: ++
1H Style: +

Karsi is a rebel Deurgar, despised on the surface, but rather unliking of the life lived underground. Of course, her adjustment to surface life hasn't been easy, but she's trying. For the most part, she joins the party because she seeks change to her life. She is met in the sewers beneathe the Copper Coronet, avoiding light based vision problems by staying in dark for a while.

Karsi doesn't like Korgan much, and the feeling's mutual. but actually has unrequited respect for Viconia, who she respects for turning away from the Underdark.

Karsi has a quest with a certain bar going Dark Dwarf, you might get a certain metal as a reward that lets you make maces.

Name: Gusber
Race: Gnome
Gender: Male
Class: Fighter/Illusionist
Stats:
Str: 18/64
Dex: 16
Con: 13
Int: 17
Wis: 11
Chr: 15

Weapons:
Short Sword ++
Long Bow ++
Quarterstaff +
2H Sword +

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Gusber is a greedy trickster using Illusions to trick his enemies and cut them up when they least expect. He doesn't go out of his way to seek trouble, but no true foe is safe from his cruelty. Gusber's best trick is to let his foes think he looks weak, even though his strength is great and manipulative. He even uses a Quarterstaff to trick people into seeing him as a full mage.

Gusber will join your party mostly because he wants to hire you out for him, but seeing as your worth and strength is actually great, he decides to, after the quest, to let you live and finds the partnership profitable. He'll even begin a relationship with Small race ladies and Half Orcs.

Gusbar has little impressions about his party, though he wants to find ways to exploit them, the resulting thoughts vary, though he may only come to blows with Nalia if anyone.

Well, that was certainly fun, feel free to adopt... and adapt. I've got others too, but not yet.

I like Zungmar a lot. I'd definitely try him in a party... with a female PC, to see what he does. This idea could definitely be interesting, if developed.

Well, let's see if I can give Zung a good backstory.

Zungmar belonged to an orcish tribe not far from Athkatla and counts himself lucky to have survived enough to grow as strong as he is. Simply surviving has not been enough for him though. Zungmar wanted to know how the pinker races wielded strange magics to keep them away from his home. Trying to play himself off as a half-orc he headed for the nearby city and began searching for wizards who could teach him how to cast spells. Of course, the city is Athkatla, a land where magic is ruled with a Stoneskin fist, so he had to at least seem not devious. He began instead serving as a guard for the council, hoping they would teach him magic in return for service. Seeing cruelty, Zung began to feel bad about years of orcish cruelty, but deep down, he understood why his people needed to have it. For the bandits and bullies of the city, it seemed unneccesary by compare. He also finds the women of larger civilizations to be quite... good looking

When met, Zungmar is on a mission but feels he may need help since he claims he escaped barely with his life. He wants your help to stop an illegal smuggling operation. After some time, you'll learn that Zung's tribe was wiped out by a mercernary band. Somehow, they have managed to reach the city and will try to execute him. You can legally get him saved if you hurry, but not too much is needed as you have a tenday to solve the crime. Afterwards, head to the gallows and save him. Zungmar will become more learned and gain a valuable point of Intelligence. HUH? Well, yes it is. With this point, Zungmar can afford a bit more screwup against Mind Flayers.

Zungmar will romance females of any race except Halflings and Elves because they seem too frail in his mind.

Now for another character idea.

Name: Gulli
Race: Gnome
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral Good
Class: Cleric/Illusionist
Stats:
Str: 12
Dex: 16
Con: 10
Int: 19
Wis: 15
Chr: 11

Flail +
Hammer +
Shield Style +

Gulli works at the temple of Lathander. She is young and not very eccentric. Gulli wonders how most gnomes live, for she grew up, adopted by Lathandrite parents. Due to her slower aging, they have since died of old age and Gulli continues to serve her god. Gulli volunteers to join your hunt of the Unseeing Eye, but will not ask you to rush to it. To her, it is actually an excuse to go adventuring and spread the word of Sunlight.

Gulli actually has a sidequest that brings her to a temple of a forgotten Sun God, Amaunatar, since we know of two in the game, good luck finding the correct one. Eventually, she may get a quest that lets her become a full Lathandrite complete with the kit, but I'm not sure it'd work with the Illusionist 'kit' already in place.

Gulli can respect all, but Anomen WILL eventually attack her if he fails his test and she gains her God's greatest favors. It won't just happen, it'll happen almost minutes afterwards at most.

Gulli will romance short ladies or men, but will struggle to argue with certain NPCs. For the most part, she won't step on the toes of other gods or their followers, but she's got a fair amount of knowledge she can use to offend with.

Name: Sulvisnar
Race: Elf
Class: Stalker
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good
Stats:
Str: 18/03
Dex: 18
Con: 15
Int: 16
Wis: 12
Chr: 9

Racial Enemy: Dragon

Long Sword ++
Short Bow ++
Flail +
Short Sword +
Dual Wield ++ (Inborn)

Sulvisnar is a rather typical elf, pure, high borne, and lithe... I hate him already! Then again, Sulvis actually left his hidden Forest home one day on a scouting mission... and he liked the outside world! He actually found human cities fascinating, if not a bit wasteful and odd customed. His mission is to look into a perceived threat that... well, it's like the very end of SoA, so you should know what even prominitionary ideas it begets.

Sulvisnar is in the Windspear Hills, overseeing strange activity within the area and a looming smell of sulfur. Being that he is trained to handle such events, Sulvis wants take on the Dragon, and when he joins your party, he will come to realize that you might just be able to help him with the trifles of his home city, though he will not reveal where it is.

Sulvisnar romances female Elves, Humans, and those in between, but he'll also romance Half Orcs and Gnomes.

He has a small quest involving the graveyard vampires that won't really spoil the game at all.

Rather than risk running out of character space by having too many words, I made a new post with more ideas.

Name: Montaron
Class: Fighter/Assassin
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Gender: Male
Race: Halfling

Stats
Str: 16
Dex: 17 (Original +1)
Con: 16 (Original +1)
Int: 12
Wis: 13
Cha: 10 (Original +1)

Weapons Skills

Short Sword ++
Cross Bow ++
Axe +
Shield Style +

Forget The Dumbest Disaster... or was it Dorkest Day... anyway it was bad. Forget about Wicked, unless you speak of that Ozian musical. Well, actually tDD is on a similar path with resurrection. To get Montaron, you must revive him at the Docks Temple. He hasn't been dead long enough. Upon hearing about Xzar's death, he will ask to join the party and be glad to be free of the bloody blasted Zhentariam.

Being freed, he still has the ire of the resident party Harper, at least as long as the Harpers harp on your progress. Of course, the Harpers and Zhents both may persue you with minor quests and reward items. For the most part though, they won't bother you too much.

Montaron will find himself clashing with Mazzy, mostly her bothering him to be a bit more civil, though her reasons likely revolve around Halfling reputability. Montaron just wants to be left alone, but he's not above bullying or causing some unrest for a bit of amusement. Perhaps he finds a thing for female shorties and outcastable Half Orcs, perhaps not. There's no stat requirement either way.

Name: Danna
Gender:Female
Race: Human
Class: Fighter(9)/Invoker (May not yet even have regained dualed Fighter Levels yet)
Alignment: Neutral Good

Stats:
Str: 16
Dex: 15
Con: 16
Int: 17
Wis: 10
Chr: 8

Weapon Skills () denotes Fighter gains if not yet Lvl 10 Mage yet
Halberd (+++)
2h Weapon Style (+)
Staff +
Crossbow (+)
Dagger +
Spear (++)

A story similar to One Day NPC Ghareth, Danna started as an Amnish Guard for the council, but found herself amongst the spell scrolls more often than she should've been. She quickly became a mage in training, and found her energetic ways were good for evocations. Danna has grown decently respectable amongst the ranks of the Cowled Wizards, but began to distrust them more and more until she resigned. This hasn't gone over with them too well...

She meets the party in the Government district, near the Council building. She seems to know that you are on the hunt for Imoen, but she won't say why she's interested in helping the party. She doesn't really have many quests, but she will romance any race of any gender. Danna is openminded like that, but she doesn't like magical abusers like Edwin.

There is more to tell, of that I am sure... but not yet.

Name: Mosgura
Race: Half Orc
Class: War Shaman (Kit Below)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Gender: Female

Stats:
Str: 17
Dex: 16
Con: 17
Int: 8
Wis: 15
Chr: 8

Staff +++
2 Handed Style +

Mosguri was a shaman from a far off tribe until she was captured to fight in arenas at the Copper Coronet. If you free her, she will be greatful and will join you. She is mostly foriegn to civilization as she comes from Orcish lands but she has been mellowed greatly.

She really has no quests to speak of, but she'll be an interesting party member.

War Shaman
These tribal individuals are spiritual leaders in lands where only the strong survive. They have a connection to some god or another, but it is weakened due to their call for battle.

Advantages
Gains .5 Attacks per round every 8 levels.
Warrior THAC0 progression and Constitution bonuses.
+1 to all saving throws
Can attain mastery in priest weapons.

Disadvantages
Spell tables are 1 level behind other priests.
Casts spells -2 Spell Levels behind a same level cleric
Cannot put any training in Flails or Slings.

Righto, Crossbows added. Feel free to adopt or completely change any idea I post.

Name: Delgin
Gender: Male
Race: Dwarf
Class: Swashbuckler
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Stats:
17 Str
17 Dex
16 Con
11 Int
11 Wis
10 Chr

Weapon Skills
Long Sword ++
Short Sword +
Dual Wield +

Delgin is an adventurous Dwarf compared to others of his kind. Delgin won't say where he came from, nor can he really say where he's going, all he wants is a thrilling quest. Delgin actually finds odd company preferable since it has that feel of suspensful adventure to have Orcs, evil Mages, any kind of elf and quirky priests by your side because it makes for a varied, daring adventure.

Delgin's romance capacity is rather open with women, in fact, he fancies himself a romantic, even though he's not very good at it. He will certainly be vey polite to all female party members therefore. Delgin is a bit noisy to be good at hiding, but isn't too shabby at setting traps.

I have two ideas for you.
Reynald DeChatillion as NPC (may be romanceable. If you talent enough to write this)
and
Salome
evil human sorceress (romanceable for women). Her personality femme fatale(like Vicci). With battle vs Ano of chorse for them both.

@ Lady of payne: if you have an idea, I would suggest that you try to explain what exactly you have in mind. What sort of personality would Reynald have, for instance? Salome would be a problematic character as she just sounds like a Viconia clone. It also helps to state things clearly, and to do a grammar check before posting.

Name: Eresias
Race: Elf (sorry!)
Class: Diviner
Alignment: Chaotic Evil (pfft, enough of those wimpy good-aligned elves)

Stats:
12 Str
15 Dex
10 Con
16 Int
10 Wis
10 Chr

I realize that these stats are absolutely horrible. Better bad stats than Stu stats.

Despite the foresight Eresias gains from his profession, he rarely stops to think. He says little of his past, save that he was born and studied in Suldanessellar. He grudgingly admits that these two may be related. In any case, he has no desire to return to his former home. In reality, he attacked Joneleth while the latter was still a respected mage, and was expelled for this crime.

Although he'd hardly admit this, one of the elf's sporadic insights revealed the monster Joneleth truly was--or not. Eresias lives under a complex set of delusions, and if the PC is sufficiently influential, he may admit that he felt...something...for Queen Ellesime. He may also admit that his hatred of Joneleth was motivated primarily by jealousy. If the PC is influential, that is--otherwise, he may simply seem arrogant, childish, and surly, acting out at other NPCs for no reason. Of course, this would not come without consequences... He might admire Sarevok, but make snippy remarks about his obvious failures, despite his own issues. He might even be attracted to Viconia--not that she'd be interested, though.

Eresias might be interested in a female PC, if she was willing to listen to his rants. He still believes that he has feelings for Ellesime, though, so the romance would be insanely complicated at best. More, for it to get anywhere would be difficult if not impossible for a good-aligned PC. The relationship might be no more than physical attraction, but with the right PC, it might be more. No "true love" here, though. At the most, he'd forget about Ellesime and become an ascended PC's first disciple--power is one of his concerns. Possibly the romance would be restricted to elves, though if Eresias could "show the realities of the elven race" to an elven PC (read: corrupt), he'd probably be quite pleased with himself. Thinking about this a bit more, the romance would probably feature him being as vindictive, unpleasant, and downright evil as possible, trying to push the PC away before she could so much as like him. In his experience, emotions don't lead to anything good.

I hasten to add that Eresias is not intended to be angsty in any way. Instead, he is bitter, sullen, and angry, with a tendency to...well, throw tantrums, I suppose, randomly lashing out at the world in general. He doesn't want revenge. He wants the world to know what it feels like to be him, but he has no desire for pity, and is likely to lash out at those who offer it. Definitely has issues.

Last, Eresias has little concern for his own dignity. He has no qualms whatsoever about, say, getting drunk or using lotus. He has basically no foresight, so he just does things as they occur to him, regardless of possible consequences.

Edit: Raised wisdom and charisma to about average scores. Any higher doesn't really make sense. That, and I really don't want an "aura of all-knowing elf wisdom," as I do want this character to be different and hopefully original.

Race: Elf
Class: Transmuter mage
Alignment: Lawful good

Alia is a moon elf from Evermeet, born to a Bladesinger mother and a Diviner father. She is completely devoted to her people--obviously, her parents were a bad influence. She began adventuring to prove herself to the Seldarine, for a rather unusual reason. She wants to become a baelnorn. At first, she explains this as part of a desire to protect the elves. For some PCs, this may be all she says on the matter. She may explain her other reason--a fear of being forgotten after death, a fear of being "just another elf." Arvanaith is all very well, but Alia wants to be remembered as someone who actually did something.

Alia left her home only recently, so much of the world is new to her. She has a rather idealistic view of her own people, and doesn't take the news of Irenicus and Bodhi well.

In addition, she venerates Labelas Enoreth. She's too serious for her own good, and for that reason rarely understands puns.

Last, she has a bit of a soft spot for Cernd. Alia is still at the age where she randomly develops crushes, after all :) She's a mere 110 years old. Though for it to go anywhere would require Cernd's personal quest to be delayed, and even then, I'm not quite sure what would happen. Hmm...

Ok I will try to explain it with my bad English. Rey became CN (In game he was CG) because he was disappointed in nature of a man (Anarg). And he became more hard, unprincipled. Finished to be naive.
Salome not clone Viccy. I said it to show that she strong willed woman, she know what she want and get it, she has sharp tongue and can be really b*ch. She has something from Viccy but not second Viccy. She more cold than drow. Her stats must have high INT.
I hope I said all clearly.

Name: Caranaras ("Red Stag")
Race: Sylvan Elf, male
Class: Ranger (Wildnerness Runner)
Patron deity: Solonor Thelandira
AL: CG

Appearance: Coppery red hair, hazel eyes, coppery skin with green accents around ears and chin (typical Sylvan Elf coloring)

Highest ability score should be STR, then CON, then DEX.

This ranger was born and raised in Neverwinter Wood. An only child, he lived with his parents on a small farm, until their home was raided by hobgoblins about the time he reached adulthood. They killed his parents and burned the house, so he chose hobgoblins as his favored enemy when he became a ranger. He's naive about people and about the world outside Neverwinter Wood, and considers cities to be an abomination. He'd prefer never to set foot in one, but if he absolutely must...

Caranaras is most highly skilled with the bow; he seeks to develop prowess in archery above all other forms of combat, so he greatly respects Archers. He also uses large battle axes, and carries as little gear as he can, in order to be more mobile. Mostly, he carries knives and other useful tools, and prefers to make what he needs out of available natural resources. He also favors throwing axes. Caranaras would rather shoot first, and ask questions later, when strangers are nearby, and becomes highly agitated whenever someone harms the natural environment for no good reason. He's very athletic, and strongly built physically, for an Elf. He'll wear studded leather or less in combat without feeling cramped.

If he's given an animal companion, it should be a black wolf named Morglaur. He has little use for coins, gems, or jewelry; when in Neverwinter Wood, he would always give any of these he acquired to a local dryad, as he grew fond of her and liked giving her pretty things.

Caranaras always wears a red leather vest, when not geared for battle. He always wears a wilderness harness, on which his tools are secured. He also wears gray cotton trousers, a gray cotton peasant shirt, and boots, if he must appear more "civilized."

If he's given a special bow, it should be a composite longbow that grants him far seeing, and possibly casts Slow on those struck by arrows fired from it. This bow would be named Tintilcuthali ("Glittering Strongbow").

This is an Elf of action and of few words. He's considered grim, for an Elf, and he's very brave. He doesn't make friends easily, but those he counts as friends he'd protect with his life, if need be.

That's Red Stag for you :)

Ipsissimus: The problem is that Diviners have to have 16 Wisdom. Evil non drow are always welcome as they break that danged stereotype and Diviners are rarely seen, but 16 wisdom is a requirement... and it make sense for a class meant to have scrying wisdom.

@ Eric: Red Stag sounds a bit like Kivan, IMO. I like the idea with the nymph though :)

@ Ras-Milk: I know full well that Diviners require high wisdom. But it makes no sense for this character. If it's a choice between following the rulebook and staying true to a character, I'd rather just toss the rulebook away. In any case, BioWare already broke the class rules for this: Minsc's wisdom is too low for a ranger, Aerie is a multi-class unavailable to PC elves, and Anomen's wisdom is too low for his cleric dual-class. Perhaps Diviner isn't the best choice for him anyway. I'll have to think about it. In any case, thanks for your input :)
