I see several people with interesting avatars, more for the style than anything else, and usually where on avatar comes from, more lurk at the ready. I'd be interested to where you got yours from, link and all.

I don't remember the link, but have a couple hundred I could email, all different styles. Mostly human and elf. A couple good half-orcs.

I make a lot from NWN and IWD2 sized portraits.

An interesting question I wouldn't mind seeing some people answer.

For mine, this is a character portrait I pulled out of NWN - the same portrait I used in-game. Then, I acquired the Sunite symbol from Wizards, and made it into a transparent image. A little work with the GIMP, and viola.

No Windows products were used in the making of that picture.

To be honest, I can't remember where I got my portrait but I ose the same one in game as I do far my avatar. I think she suits me and my character pretty well.

I was shuffling through old drawings one day, and found this Indian ink drawing I'd made when I was... twelve? Thirteen? (It's been that long?) Anyway, scanning and cropping hurt it pretty badly, but I still thought that even the detail had weird kind of appeal. :)
