Silent as a forest No heart can match wits with destiny.
Fierce as fire
Immovable as a mountain
- Sun Tzu (403-221 B.C.)
If one's life is useless, can death be a loss?
- Dong Xun (Minister of the Interior)
Zhuge's mighty name hands proudly on the upper sphere;
Stern and grand, the royal liege man's likeness claims respect.
In the tri-part world below he spun deep schemes.
In the age old realm of cloud, one single plume unites our gaze.
In command he was more sure than Xiao or Cao.
But the stars had turned; he could not save Han's reign.
Toiling to the end, body broken, will unbroken.
- Du Fu

I gotta agree.I somehow like the pink version more, it gives a nicer contrast with her face. *cough* I never liked Aerie myself, though.
For some reason, Aerie's straightened hair puts me in mind of the bristles of a broom...

Re: the Haer D'alis makeover, I think it's that the face needs to go back & down a bit, and that the guy's shoulders from the original portrait are so narrow that anybody would have a hard time with the proportions of the head. That character's porportions were a little off to begin with, imho.
