In particular I loved the sword angle's potrait. That is one of the most interesting that I have ever seen.
The various detials were also nice, such as the Icons for Merciful Fighting and Spiritual Focus. Energy Storm has interesting visuals.
Good stuff!

how come you always look so damn cool in every photo I see you in?!?
Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.
Still a cyberjock, still hacking the matrix, still unsure of what that means.

Heh, I just knew that a portrait like that will increase the frequency of visits in the forum I don't have the link anymore, I downloaded it at least 2 years ago, but I can send it to you via e-mail (if you send me your address that is..).

Anyway, some things seem really worsened by the shots, expecially Energy Storm. Well, of course one shot can't show how's the sequence of events

I truly don't want to spoil the fact that the "blonde lass" picture has absolutely nice feedback - and it has way more BG2 "feeling" than many other NPC mod pictures.
Eh, I won't even start to comment this - spells and visuals have a sequence. That sequence contains at least 15-20 frames. You may like frame Nr.10 while I prefer Nr. 17. Is there any problem with it? I think no. Yet if you feel like any of them is "ugly" , please post as much as possible, more is always better!Anyway, some things seem really worsened by the shots

I meant that you can't see the continuous charging effect, while other energy outbursts of various forms cycle affecting the character.
About the portrait:
well you dwell in imperfection, that's no mistery
I say, best portrait in the BG-serie is still one of the dafault female pics, the half-elf dressed in green.
That one is amazing, it seems alive.
So sayeth the Wise and "Unhappy" Littiz.

Yes, that one cannot be seen on my shot, but you CAN see the ground-explosion effect, which is quite nice IMO. You see, this is what I keep mentioning all the time - you cannot get a "best" shot of a spell that has at least 12 best frames...I meant that you can't see the continuous charging effect, while other energy outbursts of various forms cycle affecting the character.
Hmm, about imperfection and those portraits... please don't make me put this on a poll, the results may have a devastating effect on your ego...well you dwell in imperfection, that's no mistery

But the shots are GREAT! Congrats guys, you did a wonderful job! I particularly like the Elemental Storm, has a nice feeling. The blonde lass looks OK, but I think Littiz is right, no BG feeling.

It all looks very impressive - I think this is going to be one of the most interesting enhancement mods out there. (So far I was only equally impressed by the Unfinished Business) Great job!
Sighs wistfully - I wish I had someone equally skilled to help me with new spells/creatures for LR...
By the way - all the new HLA's - will you have new animations as well, or do you use 'in-game' ones? I am asking only because of the download size, of course.

The mod is now 4 Megs and something (packed).
We use a combination of existing visuals, existing but unused BG2 visuals, (10/15 as a rough guess) and IWD2 visuals (38, a couple are also edited or appear in a couple of versions).
We just try to place things where they fit best.
I'm really looking forward to your mod as well, you know I can't be a fan of Redemption as much as I will be of the Longer Road
Feel free to ask if you need help, hopefully we'll able to provide it
(with the usual delays of course )

Huh, kind words like these make me feel we aren't wasting that crazy amount of time and effort we put into the details on Refinements...It all looks very impressive - I think this is going to be one of the most interesting enhancement mods out there.
Around 30-40% of the new/modified abilities have at least one new visual effect. The current beta is 4Megs in size.By the way - all the new HLA's - will you have new animations as well, or do you use 'in-game' ones? I am asking only because of the download size, of course

I know an individual personally who can. But at the mo. he is very busy (it will lighten up after his mod gets released, which is first priority).Sighs wistfully - I wish I had someone equally skilled to help me with new spells/creatures for LR...
Nevertheless given the limited amount of animations/resources, they do turn out better than ever. I await more screens.

Sure guys - after you release your own mod and have a lil breathing space -ok? I need help with refining Jonny-boy cre file, and making him more 'balanced' , maybe going through his spells list, and other stuff - like the properties of his mask. I think at the moment he is a bit er... overpowered, and even I with my undying affection admit that. A few personal HLA's just for him would not hurt - if the download size is reasonable. I am also having trouble with xp cap remover... Honestly, I am not that good in anything but coding dialogs and cutscenes - and there is plenty of stuff in the IEngine that is still a complete mystery to me...
