BP-BGT-Worldmap v13

 

This mod replaces the in-game worldmap with a large, new worldmap. It is used especially for the Megamodification (BGT, TDD, SOS, CtB, TS, DSotSC, NTotSC, SoBH, Drizzt Saga...) or partial installations of the Megamodification. It also includes a full set of coloured map icons.

 

The new version 13.0.0 comes with extended north part of the Faerun, new icons set and many other improvements!

 

Huge thanks to JohnBob, p_zombie, paladin84 and Roberciiik for their cooperative work and passionate commitment to the creation of the extended northern worldmap in v13 and many other improvements.

 

Change log:

 
- Huge worldmap is extended with northern part of the continent, supporting IWD1_EET, IWD2_EET, RoT, PoF, Drizzt Saga modifications
- Huge worldmap is extended with Moonshae Isles, supporting PoF modification
- Updated Large worldmap to reflect similar changes to Huge worldmap
- Better thumbnail frames for Athkatla and Baldur's Gate cities
- Mods have possibility to include a patch files depending on size of the selected worldmap, more information in the user guide
- Fixed tileconv installation issue on Linux
- Added Balduran's Isle to the BGT worldmap for original version
- Updated icons positions
- Added new icons to BPBGTMAP.BAM file
- Restored missing unused BG:SoD icons
- Restored Destroyed Saradush icon
- Added missing black outline to IWD-EET icons
- Added missing red outline to NWN-for-BG icons
- Fixed incorrect label of Balduran Isle and Ice Island for revised version (only Polish language affected)
- Simplified Chinese translation update

Version 13.1.0 (24 March 2024)
  • Worldmap canvas image translated to Simplified Chinese, by Jiaozi
  • Removed incorrect and outdated area links for Drizzt Saga modification.

Since I intend to play Drizzt saga and install Worldmap at the end I would appreciate little clarification here. Is it better now to install default areas connected by travel triggers or BP-BGT Worldmap version: all areas added to worldmap is still valid for Drizzt saga? Game is BG:SoD ( not EET ).

Both install options work with BP-BGT-Worldmap and will use BP-BGT-Worldmap when it is installed. The differences are that the first option (the default one) will enable travel by triggers points (instant travel by clicking area edges). The second option will open Worldmap for every area from DS. The fix from version 13.1 removes additional travel connections to various BG1 locations (that causes to reveal Drizzt Saga locations from Wyrm Crossing for example) and keeps only travel connection to Ulgoth's Beard.

There are implemented a bunch of fixes right now and more are on a todo list. This version is updated to be compatible with the latest BP-BGT-Worldmap modification as well.

Just saw that github couple of days ago and wondered about current state of DS master and if it is stable enough. I'm so glad that I will not have to fix inaccurate weapon proficiencies manually anymore ( yes Catti-brie, you and Drizzt both  :P ). Thanks a lot!

I think that one is not yet implemented (?), so if these bugs are still present in the mod, please report the issue on GH repo. Thanks.
