BWP v20.0 is released. After a long pause I found some time to work on BWP again. Primarly I changed the install order following Bartimaeus's advice. Maybe not always the latest mod version is included. Imoen4Ever is the only new mod.

Again and again with several mod updates new unexpected problems had been arisen:

The game crashed if the megamod is packed by the generalized biffing mod using the most recent WeiDU.exe and only if the Infinity Animation mod is installed before. - As a workaround only the generalized biffing mod should be installed with WeiDU v24600.

The game crashed when saving the game the first time. This is obviously caused by the Windows 10 operating system. As a workaround create a folder named total.tot into the temp folder.

Worgas' Intro somehow prevents to save the game but only if it is installed alongside with Ascalon's Breagar. This didn't happen with the original Breagar version -  not solved yet.

There is a conflict with Herthimoney and BG1NPCSOA: From the readme Herthimoney should be installed first to get the cross-mod NPCs from BG1NPCSOA for the riddles in spellhold, however doing so I get the failure "cannot resolve label".

In POFQuest some strings are not translated to English yet but are still in Czech or Russian. In some languages some special characters are replaced by Cyrillic characters in the whole dialog if Paladins of Faerûn mod is installed - not solved yet. Stand it or skip this mod.

Now real life forces me to stop again so this release is unfinished yet. I have not visited any forum the last weeks so possible new knowledge is not included yet. It may take a while until I can work on BWP again but I don't won't to delay the release any further. If you have any suggestions I would try to add them with the next release.

I do not use BWP as a whole, but I use the documentation regarding install order a lot.

Thank you very much for the huge effort!

I found some typos in the Installpack that may cause errors during installation. I will fix them within the next few days.

Thanks a lot for the work you continue to do, man, the fact that this project still has modder support after all this time is amazing. I just have one question, namely about this.

In POFQuest some strings are not translated to English yet but are still in Czech or Russian. In some languages some special characters are replaced by Cyrillic characters in the whole dialog if Paladins of Faerûn mod is installed - not solved yet. Stand it or skip this mod.

Does this mean the mod installs now? I don't mind unusual spelling at all, but the last version of the Installpack kept breaking when the Textpack hiccuped while trying to patch the dialogues. Far as I could tell, Installpack managed to make the patch for the .tra file, but when it actually tried to apply it, the new SETUP-PoFQuestPack.tra file didn't form correctly, causing the installation to fail. I tentatively narrowed it down to the process getting stuck after running into of those weird characters, unable to finish transcribing the rest of the dialogues and leaving the file less than half-way done, with the half-appended dialogue string lacking the closing code, which caused the while process to fail. From what you say, this seems to no longer be a problem now?

I'll probably try an install anyway, but I figured I'd ask.

I was able to install pretty much everything with minor issues, though Made in Heaven (both items and quests) proved just as tricky as forewarned in the PDF guide. BWP 20 is the closest to perfection I've ever seen it, my congratulations @Leonardo Watson, and my sincere thanks. The only modification I couldn't work without was the Core Baldurdash Fixes (by Kevin Dorner) - Vlad Compilation Can't install them, it fails with errors. I have always had to disregard Vlad Compilation Component 2 and use Component 2 from BDTOBV175 instead. Fortunately, the Big World Installpack.bat always pauses at this error, so I just run BDTOB175 in parallel and install it from there.

I've posted a set of workarounds for the most common issues I ran into with an "All You Can get" or Individual.bat installation here, if anyone's interested.

Thank you very much for the incredible work you've put into the BWP, I've never felt the urge to go back to most other games I ever played, but I always go back to this every year or two.

Thank you for your friendly comment.

I am confused about your problems with the Balderdash component because I don’t have it. Could you please post the regarding lines from the Debug?

unknown object GENDER specifier [NIETHER]

Is this copy pasted? Because then the misspelling might be to blame.

The Install.bat should pause for this sort of error. Don't close it.

What I usually do for these things is I go to the file in question (in the mod folder), open the file with NearInfinity and use the compile button to see where the problem is. For this, I would change that to [NEITHER] and then run the mod installation in parallel from its own Setup-POLYTWEAK.exe (and ONLY this component). If it works, you can just hit enter on the Install.bat after that and it would continue.

Or you can just hit enter without any of that and skip it, minotaurs aren't exactly ubiquitous in the game or mods, so I don't think you'll lose out on much, especially since SCS will modify them a bit too.

I've finally posted this in the other thread, but I'm adding it here too just in case.

The upload function didn't work for me, so you can find the debug file here.
