I absolutely agree.I still hold the belief that an emotion as extreme as love can only have an effect on opinions and actions.
I still find love difficult to convey through a veritable death incarnate.
That's why I was inspired to write it. Overcoming that difficulty has provided many other insights into the character that can be incorporated into an overall story.

I completely agree. My main point was that while love may not unquestionably determine a character's actions, it would seem that love is an emotion that humans/bipedals experience to keep the parents of an offspring together. This is necessary (of course) due to the exceptionally slow development of human/bipedal offspring and the resulting dependancy on a strong parental complex. Since Valen is undead and cannot produce offspring (or at least give birth to them) there would presumably be no need for a love.I would only add that the presence of an emotion in and of itself does not guarantee a certain type of behavior.

Is that why none of the other dragons want to hang out with me?By the way, as a dragon constituted of a radioactive element, should you not be spreading beta decay by the sievert?
