Hi all,

The EET mega-mod install I'm currently playing includes TDDz 1.3.1.

(weidu logs Attached File  WeiDU.log   44.42K   109 downloadsAttached File  WeiDU-BGEE.log   1.73K   108 downloads )

After defeating the main villain in SoA, I found myself in the first ToB area.  This surprised me a bit as I remembered the core component started after the SoA end battle but before ToB.  So I looked up the TDDz Github page and I noticed the start changed a bit; apparently I needed to talk with Elhan at some point before starting the final part of SoA.

Initially I just accepted not to play the TDD core component - partly because I had some stutter in SoA that went away in ToB.

Side note (maybe someone might find this helpful):

The stutter was probably caused by modded baldur.bcs script bloat and too many global variables after going through a long heavily modded game.  I was able to temporarily remove the stutter by removing some (many) global variables from my savegame, but this is a long and painstaking process in NI and I had no guarantee of not having removed one that was still going to be used at some point.

However, after the first time being able to access the worldmap of ToB, I found I was able to indirectly travel back to Elhan, who gave me the option of going back to Candlekeep - starting the core component (? - it's been a while).

So I wonder if this is a viable option.  Can one without problems start the TDD core component while already being knee deep in the ToB campaign?

Kind greetings and thanks for any help on this.

To anyone it might concern: I went through with the TDD "Onset of the Darkest Day" component in ToB, and have yet to find any adverse effects.

I can't be sure for any and all mods and configurations, but it seems like a safe bet that this is possible.
