Hello

I'm playing BG2 again after many years.

 

I'm trying to install a mod but i don't know what to do. I came here just because i tried to search Infinity Enging and this seems to be the place but the mod i want to install if not on this site.

 

I get this error

 

Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory.

FATAL ERROR: Failure("Not a game directory")

Press ENTER to exit.

 

So what do i have to do?

You must extract the mod archive in your game folder, then run the setup-nameofthemod.exe file.

Here is a readme explaining how to install a mod (replace "slandor" with the name of the mod you want to install and follow the instructions).

i tried exactly what you said

I tried both with the folder inside my game folder and then moving the 3 files of the mod directly in the game folder

 

Inside the extracted folder i have not 3 files, now that i see, but 2 files + a folder

1 files is the exe with the name of the mod

1 files is .gitignore

Inside the folder i have many ohter foders and the ini file

it worked now. but i can't install the mods inside

 

i must choose between install, not install (skip) and quit, and this is what i get

while writing i found the solution and it worked (open setup as admin)
