So, I'm not sure if I've done something wrong, or if I just need to wait longer, but my Arath romance has completely stalled since Suldanessellar. In Suldanessellar Arath suddenly told me "it's over", but his RomanceActive variable is still set to 1. He talks to me sometimes, but there's no romance. I'm already quite far into TOB (in Amkethran) and there's no romance anymore. Have I done something wrong, or do I just need to keep waiting for the romance timer to move to 2? I've slept in inns and outdoors several times, and . . . nothing.
In case it's helpful, here are a few of my variables:
LK#ArathRomanceActive = 1
LK#ArathSex = 2
LK#ArathSexTimer = 773307
LK#ArathInnSex = 2
LK#ArathLoveTalks = 33
LK#ArathLoveTalkTimer = 1496547
LK#ArathBreak = 0
LK#ArathSuldanessellar = 2
LK#ArathTreeofLife = 1
LK#ArathTobTalks = 7
LK#ArathTobTalksTimer = 1672767
Should I just move the RomanceActive variable to 2 and see what happens? I don't want to miss anything, but all of my other party members are plenty chatty. Arath just isn't.

This is what I got from Arath in Suldanesselar (attached photo). He says he can't deal with a complicated relationship, that he can't stand looking at me when he feels the way he does, and then he says "Stop looking at me like that! I said it, and I meant it. We're done."
But his Romance variable stays at 1. He keeps talking to me through TOB, but there's no romance. His lovetalk variable gets stuck at 33 in Suldanesselar, but never progresses beyond that.
What did I do wrong? We had a good chat only moments before (he was glad I killed the vampires, and I agreed) and then suddenly he ends it. Is there any coming back from that? And why does the RomanceActive variable not recognize that he broke up with me?
I have no other active romances, btw. I even hacked Kelsey's romance over to 3 and still got the breakup from Arath.

So, updated solution (in case anyone else experiences this in future): make sure you sleep in forests a lot!! Arath has a couple of lovetalks which will *only* take place in a forest. I don't know if they are necessary lovetalks or not, but in general: don't rush through SoA! Arath has at least 40 lovetalks before his RomanceActive variable will move to 2. So if you are like me, and you only got to lovetalk 33 (the "breakup") before the end of SoA, make sure you go back to some forests and let a bit of time pass before you head into ToB. Finish all of his quests in the druid grove (obviously) but make sure you rest in forests a lot. The "North Forest" and Forest of Tethyr seemed to be his favourite spots.
If you give it time, the writing in this mod is fantastic.
