I am running only BG2:EE, latest patch on GOG. 

 

When I started, I didn't realize that SOS requires a worldmap that includes the original BG territory.  This is by no means clear in the description of the mod or the site where I linked from (Beamdog). 

 

SOS was installed before I started I new game: all the Trademeet and Athkatla stuff works fine.  I have no way of getting to and from any of the locations in the Soubar region in this mod except via the console, which is quite suboptimal.

 

I tried installing the worldmap that is available on this site, but no locations in SOS show up so I have no way of getting anywhere.  There also doesn't appear to be a savegame patcher for EE so maybe this is a lost cause?

 

If anyone can offer help, I'd appreciate it.

Unless you start a new game, clua-ing your way through the areas will be the way to go.

Changes to the worldmap only show for a new game.

I agree that the mod could use an info regarding this. Both this mod as well as the worldmap mod are rather "old" - we are not prepared for new folks coming and playing for the first time (and not knowing about the worldmap mod needing a new game.)

Hey, thanks for the reply.

 

I did use the console to get to the various map areas without any problems.

 

This was my first time playing with mods in BG2:EE so some of the finer details weren't apparent when I first started.  I'm looking at trying the EET next because having the full map available in all parts of the BG saga is highly appealing.

My world map is completely screwed up. Soubar is on it but I can't travel there because it will not highlight. I talked to Forp and the dialog says there is a new area on the map but it is not accessible. How do you use the console to travel?
