Yeah, I've decided that if my early stuff is going to be online, then I'm going to be the distributor.

 

also Alma Tweaks was previously only available on the retarded forum for assholes. which means CoB. 

world premiere!

 

e: also2, trivia: i actually made that site in 20 hours as an IT project, and that includes all the coding, domain fun and writing new documentation

Thank you for allowing the masses to enjoy your Alma Quest mod.  I do think that it is a good mod.

 

One note though that you changed the name to add WIN at the end.  Could you change it back to it's original title of aq2v3 ?  A different name will mess up BWS and BWP

I looked at the install.bat and it should install almaquest2 properly because the mod name hasn't changed :unsure:

I slimmed down the linux package since I realized that anyone actually caring about it would already have all the executables. I marked it as 8.2.2, but it doesn't really merit a change in three readmes and tp2s and repackaging everything.

 

Just thought it should be noted, because now BWS points to the dropbox links.

The Gas Spore creatures in the Beholder Lair seem to be entering an invalid state if you leave the map before their 5s delayed actions are executed (tested on BG2:EE). They turn invisible and are indestructible, which makes it impossible to save for no apparent reason, unless you know what's going on. In some cases they might follow you across maps, which makes them even more annoying. Chances are high to trigger this effect, since they are guarding the entrance to the Beholder lair. The culprit is the first script block of GSPORE.BCS.

Okay! I know, you messaged me that on PPGF. My question is:

Since this is an issue easily circumvented by speeding up the delayed self-destruct; if I were to speed up the Wait(5) to, say, Wait(1), would the visual effect played by CreateVisualEffectObject disappear after DestroySelf(), or not? Because it would look like garbage if it did.

 

Sorry, I would check, but now I have a whole day of downloading BG2 yet again just because my shitty macbook rebelled on me. >:(

I don't even know why there is a Wait(5) in the first place. Removing it solved the problem without any noticeable side effects (even the creature explosion effect is displayed correctly). I have only tested it on BG2:EE though, which sometimes behaves slightly differently than vanilla BG2.

Uploaded the 8.2.4 version everywhere, it fixes the gas spore bug.

 

Also did you know that installing tobex on a mac version of bg2 will fuck it up

I'll give those I can see a try later. That would be rangers tracking so far (I've only just arrived from chateaux Irenicus), and perhaps some more feedback later on?
