Map Crash

I installed Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition Trilogy with the BiG World Setup.
When i try to open the map the game always crashes.
 
after this i Manually Reinstalled the Worldmap in 10.2.2 and 10.2.1 tried it with and without pvrz.
 
i get 1 Error: ERROR: No translation provided for @920600
                     Continuing despite error.
 
when i uninstall the Worldmap the Game dont crash.

My assumption is that one of the mods that just recently added new areas to worldmap may have some translation issue. Your install is German, I suppose and it may result from some german-only symbol/umlaut in a map name.

 

One way to look for the source is to use this tool

Attached File  run_Baldur.zip   179bytes   347 downloads

Put the bat file into your game directory and start up the game with this bat instead of baldur.exe or shortcut. You would see an additional window that provides information and maybe show the error.

Other way might be by looking at worldmap.wmp with Near Infinity.

Thank you for the fast help.

 

i found the bad guy deinstalled the mod and it doesnt crash anymore.

But now i have the problem that the Icons are not there where they are supposed to be like in the thread:

It would be helpful to know what the problem was.

 

Did you start a new game or are you now trying to play with a save? The latter will not work unless you delete worldmap from your saved game. When you reload a new revised version of the worldmap will load, but you lost the information of areas you already visited (but only on the map display, not in-game contents.)

The Problem was NtotSc 3 Areas with "nördliche" = Northern XD

i tried it whith a New Game

Which version of NTotSC did you use? There might have been a very early version of the 2.x that didn't transform the worldmap texts to utf8 format but that was long ago. Did you run setup.EET-end.exe after reinstalling the worldmap?

I installed NTotSC German version to EET and started a new game: no crash on worldmap.
I installed NTotSC German version and the bp-bgt-worldmap and started a new game:: no crash on worldmap.

Sorry, but I see no need to fix anything inside NTotSC here.

After i runned setup-EET_end.exe the crashes are back.

I Try to find other Problems on the Map

 

I tried to create a Account in this forum but i dont get a validationmail is there a problem atm?

I think i give up..... i rerunned EET_end.exe now it dont crashes but the Areaicons are still not there where they should be.

I dont know if it helps but i found the Error 920600 in EET-Tweaks but i dont know the version

Could you post a file WeiDU-BGEE.log that is in your BG2EE directory.

There could be an issue with a mod being installed prior EET that should have installed after EET. This was an error that existed in BWS for half a day, but if you are unlucky that was just when you started BWS...a thin chance, but we can make sure that way.

OR

you can open that file yourself with any editor and see it it has an entry for Breagar.

in fact Breagar wasnt Installed by the bsw but it should be

What you do is pretty confusing.

Roughly - ignoring anything else, just those few mods - install order must be

 

  • A clean unmodded BGEE and BG2EE - modmerge in BGEE if steam/gog version

  • mods that are in part 1 of this list  https://rawgit.com/K...ility-List.html installed on BGEE

  • EET core installed on BG2EE (any following as well)

  • NTotSC (and other big compliant mods)

  • Breagar (and other NPC mods)

  • Worldmap

  • EET_end

I try it manually in the order you listet and tell then the result

BWS applies this sequence but your logs look like you did something in between. That is confusing.

 

Make sure you really have the latest BWS and mod versions since both were updated just during the last days.

Hello Knemurto here again now i have tested different mods and removed the German version  of  Region of Terror and Bonehill and i got a running version with no crashes.

 

Thanks for the help especially the tip with the Near Infinity

at last i notices wenn I had the dislocated Map Icons they looked like they where on the normal map but in the back is the Worldmap

I will take a look at what is wrong with Bone Hill and RoT translations and charset and why it is not capturing map names.
