Just bear in mind that I'm not willing to disclose too much right now because things are still very subject to change but it is a BG2-only mod. I am not modifying SoD's plot and it would actually make things harder for me since I would then have to take any changes in SoD into account as well.
This is what the other mod's author stated (Artemius). It means that SoD alternative is not a problem, right?

SoD part
The way my mod deals with SoD Alternative is such that it does not change the SoD outcome and main plot.
- At no point Caelar would join the party while you work with her.
- In the.vanilla game one of the options in the final fight is to side with Caelar against the traitor and the end boss.

Then a number of globals are set. This is exactly where my deviation ends, i.e. the rest of SoD follows one of the official outcomes of the campaign.
Any BG2 mod thus would find the game unchanged. The deviation is between states 46 and 63 in BDCaelar.dlg.
ToB part
Can be made optional component, It is triggered by a global set during SoD. So a user can select the SoD part + the other mod for BG2 without problems.
