Worldmap Bug (Installed with BWS) - Black World Map

Hi! This is my first post here so sorry if I do something wrong.

 

I have a bug with the BWS worldmap which makes the entire map black. (see picture)

 

I have installed the game using BWS with nothing except minimal installation and the worldmap. After that I created a new character and the maps looks like this. Running "setup-bp-bgt-worldmap.exe" and uninstalling the worldmap returns the old map and removes all the black. I'm running windows 7 and have a weird screen resolution ( 1366 X 768 ), altough the problem persists in windowed mode.

 

I'm not sure which version of Worldmap BWS installed, but I assume it is the latest (I tried installing Worldmap today). I also tried to download the latest version (10.2.1) but the problem remains. I've tried creating new characters after each install/uninstall.

 

II really want to try this mod so thanks in advance for all the help! :)

Which game did you install on - classic or EE - BGT or EET?

Weidu.log should also be attached or better yet set to [ spoilers ] -log- [ /spoilers ] without the extra spaces, as it will actually tell the above information, and more.

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hi guys, sorry for the slow reply, I didn't expect you to be so fast! I do run BG:EE, just like you guessed, Thanks for the help, it looks a lot different now and I can finally see the background, altough there is still a minor problem. I have made another clean installation and then a minimal install with BWS (do I need to install BWS first?), followed by installing the worldmap you sent.

Sorry, I was not aware that this is a BGEE standalone game.

I honestly have no idea about bp-bgt-worldmap in context of this game, the patch may only work on BG2EE or EET. I have never played or modded the BGEE alone.

 

The PVRZ install only works if done after the worldmap mod install.

 

PS - I am the author of Sandrah Saga which is for EET only.

No need to apologize, I gave insufficient information. It's the steam version, to be exact. Is world map normally for EET only? Maybe I will buy SoD and try the EET install (It is for enhanced edition and not the normal BG2, right?).

 

Also, I read the readme and the Sandrah Saga looks awesome. I don't care too much whether the world map is black or not, but I really want to try your mod. It's not "buggy, cheesy, unbalanced junk" for real, right?^^

worldmap is supposed to work for all games. I cannot say what your problem is.

 

EET requires BGEE+SoD and BG2EE - it makes one continuous game out of all three parts.

My mod adds an additional story alongside the original story, therefore it needs EET as the basis.

This will depend on whom you ask. It is a quote that is supposed to be true for all big mega.mods, and since Sandrah is one...
