And about the "Level-draining" poison - sorry, I don't like this idea. I fail to see how such a heavily magical effect could be "brewed".  Lets keep Level Drain for spellcasters and magical monsters, ok? 


If you think it will unbalance the game, so be it.
But I disagree your opinion about "brewing" level draining poisons. I can imagine some ways how such a poison could be brewed : an assassin could use the blood of a vampire or some illithid serum for this. ;)

I have another observation for the Assassin kit, Maestro. I think you should remove Use Any Item effect, because it does not seem very suitable for that kit. For instance, I can't imagine an assassin wearing heavy armors and helmet or using two handed weapons or shields but I would expect for him to be able to avoid magical detection. Instead I think you should replace with an ability which improves his stealthy capabilities. I can give you an example : Misty Shadows, which gives to the Thief improved invisibility, immunity to divination spells like Detect Invisibility and True Seeing and lasts 5 rounds. What do you think of it ? (By the way, I could never imagine how True Seeing can dispel Hide in Shadows, because that's a spel for detecting illusions, and Hide in Shadows is not an illusion, the thief is just hiding somewhere)

I think you should remove Use Any Item effect, because it does not seem very suitable for that kit.

They shouldn't get UAI, we already removed that from all thief class. :blink: :unsure:

No, I recently checked their 2DA table, and I'm positive they don't get any SPCL915 (UAI) anywhere. This bug doesn't appear on my PC Feanor.

Has this bug been encountered by anone else?

Good points. Paladins will only get Toughness then. I'm still undecided on Rangers though.

Okay by accident I subscripted for this topic. Does anyone know how to undo this?

And now for my real question, perhaps it is already asked before and I overlooked it, but does these new HLA tables not interfere with the ones of the Oversight mod of Kish?

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

Yes, it was discussed before - and to answer your question, they completely override the tables of Kish. Refinements' HLA System works as a whole, and again, I heavily recommend using it that way. ;)

Finally I managed to get hold on the PS:T visuals, so expect some GREAT visual effects added to the existing ones (and to the new HLAs) in v2. :)

BTW Littiz, did every PS:T animation appear correctly for you? I have problems with the larger ones (the Rune of Torment animation for example), many of them simply CTD the game if applied to a spell, and several of them appear heavily flawed. :unsure:

The big ones you'll have to cut and splice together in game. (Like the dragon animations and Called Lighting.) Or are you already doing this?

Hmm.. are you experienced with this Hlid? I only ask you because I'm not really experienced with "slicing bams". I can edit them every single way possible, but I never really did anything like that before.

How do I do that? Can you give me a few hints on the process? How sould I add a greater one (like the Dragon or the Phoenix)?

I believe they are added as a sequence. To be honest though I haven't played with bams in about 2 years and have forgotten the details. Try a loooong back search here and on the TeamBG forums, I'm sure it's been described. Or (how we also learn anything new) pull open the aforementioned bams and see how they are constructed and called. There's guys like Horred, Galactygon, and a few others that specialize in this sorta thing that could enlighten you as well. (I'm an engineer, not an artist. heheheh)

I know how to handle sequences and frames :) , I had a lot of work with that sort of thing once we crated the Portrait icons for our new HLAs.
So are you saying that all I need to do is to separate those bams to single sequences, and apply them separately? :unsure:

The max size for a single bam is 256x256 iirc. Thus the larger bams get cut. Check out the dragons, balor, and call lightning bams. That'd be more help than I can be atm. :unsure:
