I have recently installed the recommended version of the Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod with the Big World Setup. It is the first time, I will play the Enhanced Editions with the Trilogy Mod and I have a little question.

How does the transition between games work?

Can I completely ignore the Siege of Dreagonspear Mission, when I defeat Sarevok? Or does the Trilogy affect the transion in someway? I only want to play BG1EE and BGee2 like i did with the Trilogy mods in the original two games.

If you really want to play the game continuously with integrated transitions from one campaign to the next, then SoD is a part of it.

EET also allows you to play separate segments of the game and use the export/import way, i.e export a party after Sarevok and import a party in BG2EE. But this is not a continuos game anymore and you could do the same with the separated game. In this case the only advantage you have is that you play BGEE with the BG2EE machine (similar to what BGT offered as well).

The Sandrah Saga

another piece of *buggy, cheesy, unbalanced junk*

I have another question about the transition between the Games:

I coudn't find anything about the class progression of Imoen in all my mod descriptions.

If I have her as a pure thief in BGEE, will she turn in a Mage/Thief in BGEE2 as in the original game, or will I have her as a pure thief, when exporting my chars to BG2EE?

I don't want to be rude... but you should play BG1EE+SoD and BG2EE once (I mean "at least once") before modding them.

(In fact, BG1EE+SoD, BG2EE and EET is OK too...)

All answers about the transition are in SoD, because SoD is the transition... There is nothing else...

If you use the EXPORT/IMPORT -function, the characters won't inherit the saves .cre files as they are not actually loaded, so no.... but were you to continue the game strait in the game, yes there's actual transitions and so forth... so you complete the whole game from Candlekeep to Throne of Bhall, no EXPORTing, just loading the old save game and continuing the main plot until you reach the height of your power, you should be able to dictate what every the characters become, this way, same as in BGT-weidu... stats and all.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
