I am currently at Chapter 6 with DSotSC and SoBH(Part 1) finished. Right now my character just talked to Duke Eltan first time (and he mentioned about the new maps). 

 

From what I have heard and experienced, NTotSC is not bug-free if players don't complete the game in specific order.

 

I checked so many walkthroughs and posts to grasp a brief idea of what to do and what not to do.

 

As this post indicates, none of the walkthroughs tells the exact steps (to prevent new players from bugs).

All I know for now is that party will have to talk to Nadalin one time before finishing Northern Citadel quest.

 

 

I remembered I saw a post talking about some specific actions that new players need to know without spoilers.

 

However I can't find it after searching and checking the first 7 pages of this forum. 

 

If anyone recalls post like that, please link it here. That's exactly what I need.

Nadalin (In Baldur Gate town near *Low Latern* ship) has a quest for you that opens a map on the northern coast. You help fishermen there. You tell Nadalin about it and he will return to the fishermen. And later you can hire him to sail you to some island. You learn about that island in the northern citadel

Turns out drow items that didn't disintegrate may break the code of Sil in the North Coast. 

I repeated the whole North Coast run without drow items and finally finished both the North Coast and North Citadel. 

Now I am at Salamander Island and talked to the Ice Salamander, I have to ask: 

Is it okay now to go to chapter 7? 

I want to make sure the book of Ignorance quest is finished without any problem nor would I want to reveal Reedrig/Haeball too early.
