Adrian's Quest: Cannot find Tanya

So I've been going up and down the stairs in the Five Flagons Inn after being informed that Tanya is in 'the first room on the left upstairs'. Party has been there and there is no one. The only people on that floor is a sleeping woman, a thief-looking character, and a fat tavern patron. Any ideas?

Have you completed the portion of the quest where you find some "little birds"? If you haven't progressed past the first conversation in the quest (where Tanya tracks you down and starts talking to you), you'll need to search the first room on the left in the Five Flagons to find some evidence on her - she won't be there when you show up.
