Hello,

 

Please see attached .DEBUG file from my most recent installation, which I'm still building. All crossmod content I selected installed correctly except for Ajantis and Tsujatha. The installer complained that relevant dialogue files could not be found, but I installed both the other mods without errors. How do we solve this? The filenames that Faren's installer call for appear to exist, so I'm at a loss.

That should fix Tsujatha... investigating Ajantis

 

Quick question, do you have ToB installed? If yes, can you use NearInfinity to check if you have C#AJA25B.DLG in your game? If no, can you please attach your Setup-AjantisBG2.DEBUG here?

Thank you for flagging this up Eric, and thank you Lollorian for posting the Tsujatha fix! I've updated the download file with the typo corrected.

 

I've tried replicating the Ajantis bug but can't seem to get it to happen at my end - I've tried on vanilla BG2 and BG2EE, using Ajantis v12 and v13, and it's installed OK. There's a check in the Faren tp2 that should only install the Faren-Ajantis ToB content if ToB is installed. So I'm not sure what's going on with that I'm afraid!

 

If you could post your Ajantis debug file as Lollorian mentions above that would be great. I can't spend very much time on the computer at the moment because I'm very pregnant and have a lot of back pain, but will try to keep in the loop!

Let me know if I can help with the Ajantismod with this. Maybe I changed the marker file name for v12 (which would be rather stupid in my part)?

Also, let me know if you both want this moved to Crossmod. I am probably moving most of my stuff into that work, as it is getting tougher to deal with multiple mods. (Any way of coding it so we don't have multiples of the same banter would be cool - if the globals set are the same, it means only one of them will play, so from a user standpoint there is no problem with one being installed by a legacy version and a second identical one being installed by Crossmod.. But from an "add a bunch of extra blocks to search through" load-the-engine point of view, less is more.)

Good deal, glad to be of help. I know that I've installed Ajantis successfully (it always installs without a hitch ), and I've even had at least one experience with Faren's crossmod content for Ajantis installing successfully, but updates, crashes, and further installs have happened since then. I'll post the .DEBUG file for Ajantis ASAP (probably tomorrow), after checking if AJA25B.DLG is where it belongs. I vaguely recall having seen that filename during my investigation, but I'll double-check.

 

Yes, I always have ToB installed. My idea of the bare minimum installation would be BG2 SoA/ToB with BG2 Fixpack and 1PP installed. I'd never play the game without at least that much, but my aim is to get all the content that interests me into a stable enough installation to play the game from start to finish.

Same error with a new installation. I've noticed that there is no file AJA25B.DLG (not even with a modder prefix) anywhere in the Ajantis mod package, though Faren's crossmod with Ajantis requires the presence of that file. I'm stuck on that point. For now, I'll have to skip Faren's crossmod content with both Ajantis and Tsujatha, unless and until someone can and will show me the way to solve the issue.

Do you mean error for installing the Ajantismod itself? In that case I would be highly interested in the debug file.
The tob banter file for Ajantis is defined in one of the tob banter .d- files, there is no "aja25b.d" if that is what you were looking for.

No, the Ajantis mod always installs for me without error I have yet to encounter the NPC in the game, so I can't speak to the content yet. This is a Faren-specific issue, because of the filenames the Faren installer calls for to recognize that Ajantis is already installed, for Faren/Ajantis crossmod content to install.

 

Faren's installer specifically looks for file AJA25B, so this needs to be corrected with whatever Ajantis' actual ToB banter files is named. I'll look for it, but I couldn't find any such file the last time I checked though the Ajantis mod package.

Faren's installer looks for C#AJA25B.DLG as you can see from the Faren.DEBUG you attached in the first post (line 360)

After installing Ajantis, I looked in /override, and no file C#AJA25B.DLG exists there, so I'm at a loss.

 

Will try to get the info posted here soon.

I thought I had the most recent version (as I always think I have the latest of everything before starting a new installation), but I'll d/l the mod right now, to be sure, and take it home with me

Yup C#AJA25B.DLG doesn't seem to be created according to the DEBUG - I really wish we had a way of knowing which version you installed

It was the version just prior to the current version as of this posting. Sorry about that. I'm surprised the version doesn't get recorded in weidu.log.

It states the version: [11]. As I posted above, this version does not yet contain ToB content, so problem solved, you need to use a higher version, preferably the current one. (Current mod version is v13).
