New Test Version 1.05b uploaded, only SandrahNPC part affected

 

New contents

- *Gorion's Dagger* sub-mod added
- ToB *How to read Alaundo* added
- Sandrah rescues miner in Nashkel mines if Kivan is not in party

- de-sweeted dialogues
- Mystra/Myrkul error corrected in dialogue

Do the Improved timing for Gavin interactions effect the Gavin mod (i.e. makes changes to it before or after install)?

This is only affecting Sandrah's additional banters with Gavin, nothing is changed in the original mod. For the initial test their talks fired pretty frequent, now they are spread out realistically over the game, that is all.

Hmmm, this question might seem a bit silly but...where can I find Sandrah?

 

Normally I wouldn't mind looking around a bit more but I'm not sure if I installed correctly her as I might have put too many mods there and if I messed up it would be a shame to look around for long if getting her is impossible.

 

I did find some letter on Gorion corpse but Imoen did not comment on it(it seemed to me while reading the readme that it would be a clue to find her) yet so I kinda worry.

No it was a neutral monk character. I was using the latest Big World Installpack but I did not see her with Gorion.

 

Now...I tried a manual install of all required mods and plenty of important optional ones and this time I see Sandrah besides Gorion but she does nto talk with him. In fact, she does not respond when I try to talk to her either. After Gorion's death I see her besides his corpse and still mute.

 

That said while I tried to install the mod itself I was able to install:

 

- SandrahNPC Check

 

- SandrahNPC for BGT Core

 

-Sandrah Kit

 

-SandrahNPC Creatures and Items

 

-Sandrah Shops

 

-Sandrah Movies and Sounds

 

-Worldmap update for SandrahNPC for BGT

 

 

 

 

 

And was unable to instal due to errors:

 

-Sandrah Worldmap Entries

 

- Mods compatibility

 

-SandrahNPC for BGT compiles

 

-Pelligram Sandrah's Animal Companion

I have added Sandrah NPC + RTF v1.05 to my upcoming BWP v15.2 guide and install pack. In my test all components are successfully installed but components "SandrahNPC for BGT Compiles" and "Mod Interactions" have some warnings:

With component "Sandrah Worldmap Entries" there was a
FAILURE:
Semantic error in TP2 code (first ext-north-link check failed)
Stopping installation because of error.
Stopping installation because of error.
ERROR: [worldmap.wmp] -> [Override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("Semantic er
ror in TP2 code (first ext-north-link check failed)"))
Stopping installation because of error.


To avoid the FAILURE the installpack copies an empty worldmap.wmp into the override like I do with the SOA mod for years.

To be able to install Sandrah at all with my installer I had to rename SandrahNPC-setup.exe and SandrahNPC-setup.tp2 into setup-SandrahNPC.exe and setup-SandrahNPC.exe. This will be done by the installpack automatically. The same is true for setup-SandrahRTF.exe and setup-SandrahRTF.tp2.
The SandrahNPC\mve\CVMovie.bat was also be changed respectively.
It would be smarter if you rename the files as aforementioned as the setup.exe are usually named.


The file CVPRO11.SPL causes an error with the p5tweaks mod:

Thank you for the Debug file, this is helpful to improve the mod & the installation.

1. I do not understand how BWS installs Sandrah, especially how the Worldmap is handled there, so I cannot comment on this.

If you do a manual install, the BP-Worldmap must be installed before Sandrah.

2. It looks like all the other issues can be allocated to some lines in "CVsltma.baf" that cannot be compiled and lead to none of the required dialogues being installed. I have modified the file accordingly. (You just put it into the Baf folder of SandrahNPC folder before compiling.)

 

To install the mod again I suggest to

1. Uninstalll Sandrah completely

2. Make sure you have worldmap mod installed

3. Use the attached file to override the original one as described

4. Compile again

 

For the BWS install issues maybe Leonardo's post above will help.

Yeah, I installed the BP Worldmap as my 2nd module after Dark Side of the Sword Coast. Generally I tried to install obligatory mods on my later tries right after those two as it tended to happen that I received errors(particularly with the Check the Bodies mod and the Road of Terror) if I installed said mods rather late.

Roxanne says : I think all the above warnings are not critical, they most likely are related to the parting dialogues that allow you to send some NPCs to one of the Inns to wait for you. If you do not have this option install, the additional stuff from Sandrah finds no place to append.

Yes, just append the .ids:
 APPEND ~stats.ids~ ~201 NEEDS_BREACH~ UNLESS ~\bNEEDS_BREACH\b~
... and do all the others the same way... also understand that some of the appends can have side effects, like say the stats.ids if set(via a spell) can cause the SCS AI do an unintelligent thing like cast Breach spell even if there's nothing to dispel.

The spell.ids entries... should probably be added via the ADD_SPELL weidu- functionality.

All of these errors are related,  since *SandrahNPC For BGT Compiles* is not installed, due to a dialogue not found, which is quite strange.

Do you have the "AC_QUEST"-mod installed? If not, then maybe there is an acq40001.cre still left in your override folder?

The way it is supposed to work is that the Sandrah component checks if this cre is in your game and if not, it will create it together with the corresponding dialogue. If for whatever reason the cre file exists but not the corresponding dialogue, you get the errors you have reported.

So, either there was an error during installation of "AC_QUEST" or there are remains of an older installation left in override.

If you are familiar with NI you could check if the cre exists in your game - and if it has its dialogue file correctly installed.

Normally the AC_Quest is no pre-requisite for Sandrah, although there are some crossmod actions with that mod. Also, it is available in English by now. I still think, the error you had was caused by installing, de-installing and re-installing some things which left you in some weird condition in the end.

I hope the list above does not represent the order in which the mods were installed? You may otherwise have some problem (not with Sandrah but with the game in general).

Some experts have assumed that The BP mod v180 or later would be needed for Sandrah, I am not sure myself that this is the case, it would be interesting to see if it can be done without it, like in your installation.

Nah, I usually start with the obligatory mods first as I know from experience how frustrating it can be when after installing tons of bonus mods one suddenly gets an error while installing a required mod due to some incompatibility or whatever.

 

Guess I might try to use Sandrah after installing only those and if all goes perfect then maybe I will try to add a few mods on next installs and see how far I can push it :)

 

I might give a try to BP mod v180 too though I initially got some problems with it. Hmmmm....

If you haven't seen the list before, you have not actually made many installs... the list is there as the weidu.exe's auto version check, and it lists the mods alphabetically from y to a ... with a few exceptions and lists their version flags. The fact that the Setup-AC_QUEST.exe's version is 22900 could indicates that this: ERROR locating resource for 'APPEND' -comes form that.. The Weidu.exe's are usually auto updated and the fact that it's not... unless the debug was cut in the middle of the setup-A ... NEVER EVER POST THINGS LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN ! ... then well, it could just show where the fault is.

Corrected baf file

 

I have modified the file txt.gif  CVsltrma.BAF   47.06K  due to possible IDS error messages depending on the spell mods you have installed. In case you had such issues while installing, you just put the new file into the Baf folder of SandrahNPC folder before compiling.

So if I understood right one needs to start with TOBEX and end with Big Picture's Ascension? I'm still a rookie with installing multiple huge mods such as this one heh...

 

Guess, I might give a try to what Leonardo released though his program seems to require quite a bit of hard drive space to work properly and I seem to be running out of it. Hmmm.

 

Then again normal trying might get troublesome...
