Hello Roxanne, I could really use some help here if it isn't hopeless:

attachicon.gifUntitled2.png

PS: i downloaded this file 4 of 5 times in these 2 days, last night most recently...

It is this issue in BWS http://www.shsforums...52#entry587075.

Either your BWS version itself is a bit older or it was re-introduced in a recent BWS update.

Just checked it, it is up to date, downloaded day before yesterday. Anything I can do?

You can just do this operation manually *copy the file worldmap.wmp IMMEDIATELY BEFORE INSTALLATION OF
THE MOD from the folder BiG World fixpack into the override folder.*

Then either  ( r)etry

or

start SandrahNPC setup as well manually and afterwards select ( c)ontinue.

I think that at the very end, when you install BP-BGT Worldmap mod itself, this mod will read all the worldmap table entries made by the various mods during the installation to create the final worldmap - these tables are in your game directory/worldmap folder and mods append their data to these files. As far as I understand the process, the wmp copy and append process is an interim step done by various mods during your install and this version of worldmap will not actually be used later on in the game. It is only relevant if you decide to install a mod with maps after BP-BGT Worldmap mod.

OK, Roxanne, I think I will do it. But one more question for the end ( I know almost nothing of modding, sorry ), does Worldmap mod need worldmap.wmp ( which would be overwritten by this change ) to correctly assign those changes?

EDIT: found worldmap changes DOC file, I assume that was what you were talking about?

Worldmap mod itself will build a complete new version of worldmap.wmp from its own repository plus from the additional areas and links tables that have been collected during your BWS installation process - you can look up e.g. areas.tbl in the worldmap folder and you will see the new areas added by various mods. Sandrah will add another set of areas and links to those tables. After all those mods have been installed, the worldmap mod uses these tables to build a new wmp for use in the game (if you selected it, there may be another mod that even adds missing area names to this map as well.)

Map labels, yes. OK, thanks for everything, going for it, wish me luck. :)

PS - the reason for this inconvenience is the size of the original worldmap vs. BG-BGT worldmap. Since Sandrah is a pure BGT mod, it uses the larger game area, e.g. it adds Waterdeep and areas in the east of Faerun to the game that are not on the vanilla map but only on the BGT-map.

Alternative installation would be to install Sandrah after worldmap but that would mean that some other mods would not be able to do their *improvements* to Sandrah. And again this issue will be history once we have EET.

None of those are issues. The warnings are harmless and do not have any effect in game.

- Ascalon quest pack is different from an NPC Ascalon (a barmixer to serve drinks to your party) who appears as part of Breagar.

- Aran missing is strange, Sandrah checks for C-Aran.cre to be present and installs some crossmod context if she finds this cre. I have checked, the cre may now be named c-aran7.cre, it seems???

If you want to add the Aran crossmod stuff it is very easy.

Copy this file into your game folder.

Make a copy of any mod-setup.exe from your game folder, re-name the copy to SandrahAranW-Setup.exe and run it.

You can do that anytime, it is independent of anything else - you just need the original SandrahNPC and Aran folders in your game directory.

Sandrah for BGT is no longer available

This has already been announced for some time now.

The new version for EET is under construction.

Since the new EET environment and the BGT world are starting to divert more and more (EET gains more and more contents with IWD and SoD while BGT just gains more and more tweaks), the two stories of the Sandrah mod also start to divert.

As Sandrah for BGT was a test which has by now failed while Sandrah for EET really lives up to the expectations, it is now the right time to abandon the failed branch and put all effort into the new approach.

Why do you think your mod failed Roxanne? At the first look, it looks impressive. Sure, it is beta mod and not perfect but to call it failure is going over the top, at least to me. Maybe you think of technical limitations of old engine?

Why do you think your mod failed Roxanne? At the first look, it looks impressive. Sure, it is beta mod and not perfect but to call it failure is going over the top, at least to me. Maybe you think of technical limitations of old engine?

*At the first look,..* yes, you just completed your BWS install yesterday, right? Compare the intention expressed in the mod description with your impression after e.g. Cloakwood Mines, and look again...

Otherwise, most of the reasons why have been discussed in this thread many times already, I would just be repeating myself with listing all of them again.

The Sandrah Saga

Right.  :P Hope there will still be support for  bug reports if there are any?
