My suspicion is that is related to the kit addition that precedes this component. Perhaps, something is messed up in ids files from my installation. Did you check my mod list in debug-file? Do I have anything incompatible or "not recommended"?

I don't know if it's a good idea to use your override file. The code in question appends kit id, if I understand correctly, which might be different in my game. If I use yours, it might turn out that Sandrah has a completely different kit.

I can see nothing of that type in your log. I do not know these mods

  1. MWYVMTAN/SETUP-MWYVMTAN.TP2  0 10 Installed
  2. BEAR_ANIMATIONS_D2/SETUP-BEAR_ANIMATIONS_D2.TP2  0  0 Installed
  3. JA#BGT_ADVPACK/SETUP-JA#BGT_ADVPACK.TP2  0  0 Installed

so I have no idea if they do anything in Kit.ids.

Did you check kit.ids yourself to see if CVMystra is there?

The cre file I attached is the raw file, the idea was to see if the one you had was corrupted. It is probably better to put it into the mod/cre folder than directly into override.

Yes, it's there. The file looks normal, although it has barbarian listed twice, dunno why.

I tried to put the raw file in, but I already have one in there. So it didn't help. Trying to think of a workaround.

In the end, I had to assign the kit manually via NI after the component was installed. We'll see how everything will behave in the actual game.

The rest of the components seems to have installed well, but there were some warnings. Nothing gamebreaking, hopefully.

A strange error in deed, this

cannot convert ... to an integer

normally indicates some previous files have not been installed correctly, are missing, or a corrupted, just like you assumed. But in your case everything seems to be correct.  As this is a local problem mostly, it has never been reported by anyone before and there is nothing I can do in the mod about it.

Some warnings concerning IDS triggers or spells you can ignore, they will trigger only if you have some spell mods installed, otherwise neithjer your party nor your enemies will have them.

Good luck with your game.

Problem found with BP-Balancer removing items from Dark Side of SC creatures.

Hot fix added on HF download page (HF20)

Restore quest item on Shar Nadal by script for Jen'lig quest after destruction by BP-Balancer component 21 (Only needed if BP-Balancer component is installed).

FAQ concerning Jen'lig NPC

Is Jen'lig part of the Sandrah mod, do I need her to finish the mod ?

Jen'lig is installed as part of the Sandrah package, but she is a separate NPC. You need Sandrah in the party to recruit her and you need Sandrah in ToB if you want to meet Jen'lig again, otherwise both are largely independent (although Jen'lig will sooner or later leave you for being an incompetent leader if you kick Sandrah out).

You do not need Jen'lig to complete Sandrah's quests, her own quest in BG1 is completed there and independent of Sandrah's quests
In summary. you can play Sandrah without Jen'lig but not vice versa

If I drop her, can she be picked up again and resume her quest(s) later ?

If you kick her out you cannot recruit her back - she will reappear at the Sarevok showdown but not rejoin you (in her eyes you have disqualified as *commander* - true githyanki logic.)
She will only re-appear in ToB when you finished her quest in BG1.

Jen'lig is an EVIL creature, how does she react to my increasing reputation?

Jen'lig does not care at all about PC's reputation, why should a githyanki care about concepts of the prime??? She evaluates the PC according to the mayor battles (s)he wins and the progress (s)he makes in the quest.

Can you give me any info on what to expect from her quest(s)? The readme and not-a-walkthrough don't really address her stuff much.

- Meet her at the upper floor of the Friendly Arm Inn
- If Jen'lig is in the party do not miss the cave south of Beregost
- Get a silver amulet for her if she asks you for it
- Have some Initial talk to learn about her race
- Have some PID dialogue with her.
- To get more you need to prove your value to her (as a githyanki she values you for fighting good). She will comment and react after specific battles you win or creatures you defeat.
- Help Prism against Greywolf
- Get to the bottom of the Nashkel mine and find a clue about her quest.
- Convince Tazok to take you and propose to assist him with his troupe inspection. Once he is dead (there is another revelation for Jen'lig if she is with you) make haste to inspect the bandit camp huts and the cave in the north (but avoid the main tent for now) before Tazok's death is noticed.
- There is much more Jen'lig contents Prior Baldur City, in Cloakwood as well as in DSOTC episodes, in Waterdeep (once Sandrah has opened the way for you)
- There is also a (not-a-romance) episode for a male PC (or for Edwin if PC is female) - just mind that *love* is *not a githyanki concept*
In Baldur's Gate
- accept the invitation to the shadow thieves, (if Jen'lig is in party do not miss Hussam)
- (with Jen'lig - find two of the guys involved in the killing of her mentor based on the hints you get from the shadow thieves)
- Take Jen'lig to the final battle with Sarevok

Are there any known issues with her character?

You should check out the Hotfixes page of the mod. I am just discovering that some of the items/creatures mods (BP-balancing, the new SCS, item randomizers etc) tweak out some items if installed after Sandrah. Some of them affect Jen'lig's quest. The Hotfixes solve this Problem and can be simply installed on top of the existing Installation, they will not break anything in the game.

Her script is annoying

Quote from one player:"Funny thing is, with Jen'lig, she doesn't really do anything thief-like, at least not in combat. She doesn't keep herself hidden when an enemy is in sight, doesn't seem to be able to backstab, she doesn't want to use any ranged weaponry....she's more like a (barely controllable) berserker/fighter in most ways, albeit with some non-combat thieving skills. She won't withdraw from combat, and if I give her ANY potions, she seems to drink them with abandon. I really feel like I have to babysit her a great deal, which I suppose is what's bothering me the most. (At least I can tell her WHAT to attack, even if I can't tell her when NOT to...and unlike a berserker, she won't attack her own allies under normal circumstances.) I have no criticism regarding her effectiveness in combat - that sword can certainly do a number on the enemies she faces - but it can be hard to keep her alive with this sort of reckless behavior. Was that what you're going for?"

For her script - yes, it is something new, but it is true to the githyanki style of combat - if you have some Jen'lig conversations you discover that a githyanki thief is definitely unique. Purists would say that without the handicaps she would otherwise be overpowered for BG1. Jen'lig is NO VANILLA THIEF.

In the BG multiverse there is really nothing like a githyanki thief. So your observations are precise, she is in fact a githyaki planewalker who has learned to detect traps and open locks but there is no way for her to have learned a Primary plane's thief behaviour in combat. Yes, she swallows potions like mad if you give them to her, especially in her fighting mood (githyanki fight Berserker style and never use ranged weapons - they want to look their dying enemy straight in the eye.).

You will hear Jen'lig comment on this herself (...use psychic bonds to give orders in battle...) You cannot, so she makes her own decisions..While you learned your battle skills by killing some rats in a warehouse, she has fought mind-flayers, drow, beholders and worse. She has commanded a githyanki ship on the Astral Plane, she is not your thrall on the battlefield.

Where do I find her in SoA?

Nowhere>
- SoA is full of NPCs already, ToB has no thief unless you have one in the party or recall one from fate spirit
- SoA has a joinable mind-flayer already, they will kill each other on sight
- SoA has contents with her race and the illithids - Her own story as continued in ToB would be hard to synchronise with the Underdark encounters
- There is not a really good and logical way for her to re-appear that soon after she left you at the end of BG1
The githyanki appearing in SoA are on a mission of their own to find Saemon's stolen blade. They are not truely related to Jen'lig and there would be no further reaction between the two other than what is already happening in BG1 when you meet some gith there

Do I need to summon her with the fate spirit for ToB?

No, she will appear on her own again (if you finished her BG1 quest). You can take her into the party or leave her in your abyss plane.

I have the TOBEX  option to dual-class her?

Do NOT use it. Exotic races like hers are not supporting the required animations. You will get a CtD if you try. The feature to dual-class non-humans was designed only for elves, dwarves and such.

Question: "When I entered the second demon's cave (by the waterfall on the map with the little girl and her dead cat), first I saw some zombies, then the demon knight. This DK was already hostile the instant I saw it. It's not the first one I've seen; there was one on the prior outdoor area (Fire Leaf Forest?) who didn't cast all of the nasty spells this one did - it just ran around fast and hacked with it's sword. I was able to kill that one without much ado. After him, I was teleported to an area with what looked like a much nastier demon (and a really nice hammer), but with Sandrah's guidance we avoided combat with him by agreeing to help deal with his nemesis. The DK who cast all of the nasty Ice Storm spells was in the second big-cheese-demon's cave. Like I said, I eventually killed him, but not until 4 party members were dead. And aside from Sandrah's one-per-battle raising, I can't bring anyone back mid-quest at this point. I reloaded at that point, assuming that I was yet to face more enemies with only 3 people in my party. Should I have gone forward instead?"

(Mind Elminster's words on that scroll quest - you can fight but you do not need. Those knights in the cave guard valauables but you can avoid them - even you lose some booty).

The DK who cast all of the nasty Ice Storm spells was in the second big-cheese-demon's cave. Like I said, I eventually killed him, but not until 4 party members were dead. At some points the Sandrah mod intentionally introduces enemies that are TOO HARD for you at the time you first may meet them. It has always puzzled me why the monsters of the Sword Coast should pay respect to your and your parties abilities. It is much more realistic that from the very beginning there are some you cannot beat. Sandrah evaluates your leadership and competence by the way you solve those situations. Sometimes you receive the most experience point by showing that you know when to run away instead of loosing half your party to gain a spell scroll (just to find that your mage is not yet at the level to even use it.)

With respect to the given quest, there is always a solution and it is not always violent.

PS Sandrah's one-per-battle raising does not work like that. She can make contact to the Weave to raise a fallen party member on the price of a significant drain on herself. She needs time to heal herself and be restored until she can use that ability again. Also, this ability is limited to those party members to whom she has established some personal relationship - she is no Mother Theresa to suffer for every fool who gets him/herself killed. She will only gain the ability to raise dead members in the normal priest level progression.

I don't need Finch for the Book Hunter's quest do I? Only thing Furlon mentions is "Hello, you're registered with me, good to see ya, bye" Plus a couple at Peldvale who have nothing to say.(haven't returned to Candle Keep yet)

Found a slight problem with the Bandit Camp after completing the way Sandrah likes. After finishing the main tent and going on a pick up loot spree there's a Bandit who has nothing useful to say so Sandrah just spits the dummy and vanishes.

You do not need Finch. But you need more clues about the book before Furlon has more information for you (You may look at GetGlobal("SanSuBH","GLOBAL") to see where you are in the quest.

Plus a couple at Peldvale who have nothing to say.(haven't returned to Candle Keep yet)

Who is that??? Is that from Sandrah mod. I need more details to determine.

Sandrah vanishes??? Who is that bandit??? Has he got a name?

I can't recall his name but I'm sure he's in AR8706. AR8705 next guess. I did check NI to see(not that lazy). I cheated, loaded a previous save and went inside solo, killed him. He had nothing to say like Sandrah said but at least she didn't run for the hills.

AR8900 Book Hunter dude has nothing to say. Top left corner of the map.(Peldvale Map)

Also, if I do the quests a little backwards like not finish off the demons till later and E doesn't get hid shard back the magical box appears in Sandrahs inventory. Maybe add a time allowance to that quest? So people like me don't put it off until I can kick some arse?

Was Imoen in the party when you met him (Knott)? Was she able to talk?

It looks like the game engine applied Knott escape area to Sandrah for some reason.

PS I found a mistake for Sandrah to talk to Knott when Imoen is not present. I will correct it and post a Hotfix for it. (HF22 fixes it)

AR8900 Book Hunter dude has nothing to say. Top left corner of the map.(Peldvale Map)

The bookhunters are not fixed to an area but appear after certain time. If there was only one and nothing was said, it seems not all of them spawned correctly when you entered the area. If you do GetGlobal("SanSuBH","GLOBAL") and tell me the value, I can give you a hint. (for the same reason Furlon has nothing to say yet)

Also, only your initial talk with Elminster has a time limit. Once you have the quest you can solve it whenever you want (only you will not be able to get to Waterdeep before you returned the Shard),

Either Clua GetGlobal("SanSuBH","GLOBAL") or look up the value in NI. It seems you are stuck in the quest because some bookhunters spawn did not complete.

PS; the bandit camp issue is fixed with HF22
