Hello,

While I love to build custom teams for BG2 mods like SCS / SCS2, I always end up frustrated because later on in the game every enemy attempts to strip me down of my buffs and protections (which is logical) and I end up having to cast them again which depending on party size can take over 2 minutes....

Over 2 minutes every while, it's just insane! Even when going by the bare minimum (Chaotic commands, iron skins/stoneskins, resist fear and protection from evil) it takes almost a minute.

I end up running subpar teams because I just can't handle recasting that stuff again and again and again.

Is there any form of modification to alleviate the pains? Perhaps a sort of out-of-combat permanent greater alacricity or something like that? Anything?

I'd love to run SCS2 again, but the memories of spending hours upon recasting enchantments make me ill.

Cheers!

Yes, the SCS itself comes with non-combat party AI with hotkeys. Read the readme's "Ease-of-use party AI" -point for more info.
And the SCS2, which was SCSII actually is... combined to the SCS, and the components give promps when applicable to the game, so make your custom BGEE games, or BG2:ToB or BGT game, all use the same package of mod, the later will just allow installation of a few more custom elements.
Ouh, but before you install the mod, make sure to download and apply the unofficial SCS v28 Fix, so it works better. The v29 is in the works so to speak, but it might take a bit yet, so use the unofficial fix for now.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Yeah, sometimes the mods contain this file that plainly says "(I dare you not to )readme", and we just automatically skip it  ... ahh, maps are for wozy'es.
