Hi lads and girls :)

Haven't been active in the community for ages for various reasons, time to come back to Forgotten Realms, so what is the story with BWP and BWS and most of the mods in general, are they compatible with Enhanced edition?...if not I wont even bother downloading EE, I presume over rhe years comunity ironed out most of the problems, so might stick to my trusty old vanila BG.....   Would love to have new EE  content thou....

Any info aprecciated  :)

Cheers

Well, the BWP is not compatible ... cause it's strictly to do with the regular BG2-ToB, but the BWS has a subset install for the both BGEE games, but they are far smaller as the Enhanced Edition games are not as compatible with mods are one would hope.

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Meaning ?

Erhm, the BWS will make you decide things and one of those is, which game you are about to edit, it comes just after which language you are going to make the setup with.

I know, what I mean is the additional content added by Beamdog in BGEE 1 and 2. As I rather stick to my old trusty BG Saga, I would love to add stuff Beamdog added, new quests, NPCs on top of the mods I select through BWS

Well, the thing is, the added content can't really be that easily added, especially as there's a quite much of it in different things, the NPCs come with their own quests, dialog, voice acting and other stuff, the Blackpits is especially hard to do as it's a special game mode, and not part of the story mode, the Sorcerer and Monk kits can't be added to the vanilla game as that's an engine update, as is the in game zoom function... etc, so you are unlikely to get any of that stuff in the regular version... just wait the next year and you can probably buy the thing poor cheap from Steam. And it will have the BGT(it's called EET, and it's in a beta state now) mod completed by then, with seriously more mods.

The BWS tool was compatible with EE last I checked (in other words, it supports installation of those mods compatible with EE, and is probably the most trouble-free way to install mods for both EE and BWP).
