Just something I've noticed. Normally, both BG1 and BG2 play either WAV or WAVC files without any issues; the two formats are interchangeable. Recently I've been playing around with projectiles and from what I've gathered so far the engine only plays WAVC-encoded audio files; in other words, if my sound is WAV, it won't be played when the projectile is fired. This appears to be true for both BG1 (hardcoded projectiles) and BG2 (externalized). I've been trying to figure out why some of my projectiles play sounds and the others don't. Can anybody confirm that I've nailed it down to the audio format?

Also, a small request. Since the BG1 projectiles are hardcoded, it's rather tedious (but possible; I'm doing it right now) to find out which spell projectile plays what sound. Does anybody who's worked with BG1 projectiles have a reference list of appropriate sounds effects? I couldn't find it on the IESDP, and BG2 often uses different sound effects for .pro files.

This would be news to me, though I've always used WAVCs wherever possible. If it is what you report, it might be worth posting in the IESDP forum. Also, Avenger_teambg might be able to give more insights there into the hardcoded stuff.
