It looks like it's a long way to go, so I better start a new thread instead of flooding all around.

So here is the first problem: I get recurring errors abut missing area files, for instance:

The thing is, areas with such names indeed do not exist in data folder, either BG1 or BG2.

I use original polish CDs for installation, 11 of them in total :v

The file should be in the <gameinstallfolder>/CD2/Data/ -folder, now if your baldur.ini file is correctly set up(open the file with Notepad, and see that the [Alias] paths locate to the correct folders) and it's still not there, then here, use mine.

So the file full path should be:

C:\BGII - SoA\CD2\data\area040d.bif

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thank you for fast answer!

The file should be in the <gameinstallfolder>/CD2/Data

And it is.

The file should be in the <gameinstallfolder>/CD2/Data

Here it is how it looked initially, the path at least is as expected.

HD0:=C:\BGII - SoA
CD1:=C:\BGII - SoA\CD1\
CD2:=C:\BGII - SoA\CD2\;C:\BGII - SoA\CD2\
CD3:=C:\BGII - SoA\CD3\
CD4:=C:\BGII - SoA\CD4\
CD5:=C:\BGII - SoA\CD5\

Note that DATA/AREA040D.bif is not the only area file missing.

For you first BWP install i strongly suggest to use BWS with "Minimum" components list.

I used to play with weidu mods some years ago, before BWP emerged.  Now it's all or nothing ;)

It will be nothing if you do not practice a bit ;)

Low hung brow, dazed look on your face..... It appears that you are correct, my friend. You are indeed a complete imbecile.
