EDIT: Full title topic is "Editing HLAs in Shadowkeeper (with component SCS II: caster HLAs are innate spells)"

I ran into a spot of trouble with an exploit: I used an item from Northern Tales of the Sword coast, which doubles XP. Unfortunately, i leveled up more than once, making it impossible for me to select multiple Greater Whirlwind Attacks, which was my desire.

I'm looking into Shadowkeeper, in order to edit the HLAs to suit me. I see them listed under the Innate tab, but when I try to click the + button to add another copy of the HLA, I get the message that the character has learned the maximum already. But it should be possible for units to have multiple warrior and thief HLAs, right? Or did SCSII alter this in some way?

I noticed that there's a tab towards the end of the list, calleds Effects. Should I copy paste the desired HLA effect there, in order to get multiples of them?

I also have a question about the SCSII component I listed in the title. It's awesome that those spells no longer take up the lvl9 spell slots, but is it still possible to use them more than once? I assumed that I'd simply need to pick my favourite HLAs again when leveling up, to be able to cast them multiple times, just like warriors and thieves can select HLAs more than once. Is this correct? If that isn't how it works, then the component adds a limitation, as well as freeing up lvl9 spell slots.

IIRC, HLA spells were listed in the corresponding Spells tabs. Would it be possible to edit these just like the Innate HLAs of warriors and thieves?

OK, I hope I didn't scare away helpful folk with all my questions. Any help would be appreciated.

Erhm COPY -> PASTE the "affects"...

And you missed the fact that the Memorization tab that dictates the amount of innates you can memorize, which is why you couldn't add more than 1 of the HLAs. But I would say the affects approach is better as they will remain in the character.

And yes, you get the HLA the innate spells back when you rest...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hmmm.....I may be wrong, but say a thief learns his first HLA at 23th level. He only has one (say swashbuckler picks WW). I don't think you can add 2nd use of WW via SK. Afaik, you'd have to remove the one you have to pick another one. So, level 25 thief would have a limit of 3 HLA's. You can change them via SK, but you can't add more at present level. I think.....
As for SCS, iirc it doesn't alter warrior and thief HLA's, no. If you CLUA your character to 8 million EXP from level 1, you won't be able to pick several uses of same HLA - it's an engine issue.

That's not true... like I said, there is a variable in the Memorize tab that sets the number, while the Innate tab sets what those are for at the time ... but you can edit that or the Affect tab to add in the skills you wish, and the latter is better, as it's definitely, permanent. And yes, the Shadowkeeper is a file editor, it can do things you can't achieve in game, so you will be able to add in the skills you wish, you just need to know how.

I tried all of these. I added the HLAs to the Affects tab by copy-pasting Gr. WW Attack.

I added extra innate slots under the Memorize tab to make room.

And I tried to add them to Innate as well. But it won't allow me to put extra copies of GWWAtt, nor will it let me copy an already existing ability into the list.

After resting, still only 1 copy of the skill. <_<

Maybe if I wait until I have 2 copies of GWWA, then it might become possible. An ally leveled up yesterday, and it confirms that I can still select more GWWA if I level up normally.

My ShadowKeeper version is recently downloaded, so it can't be outdated.

I just realized that some of those HLAs came from levels which don't actually grant HLAs. Because I leveled up multiple times, lower levels were also included in the HLA count.

I'll stop complaining about HLAs I missed out on, because I gained too much already. Thanks for all the help. ShadowKeeper is a great tool, it just takes me time to understand what things mean.
