Hi guys,

 

I realise there have been similar posts about this but they don't seem to solve my problem here

 

I ran the "Recommended" BiG_World_Setup-20130613.exe on GOG BG1 & 2 it seemed to install fine (I don't really have any experience using mods before so not sure to be honest)

 

However, I experience frequent crashes with "ChVidImage.cpp" on Line 1921. They can be reproduced each time in a number of places (for example, in Candlekeep when the group combat trainer tries to summon the 3rd group of monsters (skeletons) or after walking northward down the west side of the central gardens in Candlekeep.

 

I've tried:

  • Completely disabling my anti-virus
  • Switching 3D Acceleration on/off (switches the error to Line 899 of "ChVidImage3d.cpp")
  • Disabling TOB
  • Deleting the temp/cache files after each change

All to no avail

 

(I did have the issue with the Kits being messed up, preventing the LolFixer spell fixes being installed and thought that may be be the cause but have since resolved that and still get the crashes)

 

Any ideas would be really appreciated! :)

I think this covers your problem. I thought it was fixed at this point with the BWP fixpack. Hope this helps some.

I had this same problem with BWS that I installed last week, the "Recommended" version as well, minus a few NPC mods. I fixed it with the fix you can download in this post: http://www.shsforums...e-2#entry432823 And from what I've read, this should have been fixed in the BWP fixpack at somep oint.

I was tardy in updating the IRv3 hotfixes - this thing should be patched in the next BWPFixpack (unless IR releases a major update)

 

Mike's c0_redux package should fix most crashes but the crash you got with the 3rd set of skeletons is from the animset C4, so here's a package of all shield animations you might possibly need. Just unpack and drop all the files into your override folder :)

Ye gods thank you Lollorian.  This fixed my crash bug on my my install from last week completely...  I humbly bow to your expertise.  Much appreciated...
