I think I have addressed all of the open requests / reports.  If I missed anything please tell me.

So I just downloaded the latest BWS from the BP-Test branch, started it up, it picked up the BG and BG2 instances I had installed correctly, but when I try to open the "Choose mods and components" to check the selection (starting from the "Tactical" preset), all the BG1 mod content is missing. BGT is there and selected, at the top of the list, but the tabs for BG1 NPC related mods and quest related mods (etc) are all absent. The only one present is "BG1 Stores and Items", which only shows the NEJ merchant bank component. Other mods, eg Turambar's fixes and tweaks, have their BG1 mod related components deselected (eg fixes for SoBH and DSotSC). What have I done wrong to lose the BG1 content?

Edit: I tried selecting some of those fixes from Turambar. When I click back, it raises the missing dependency error, but instead of listing the dependent mods it reads "This dependency was removed due to its translation". I have selected English as the language.

Oops.  Broke purge section parsing for BGT in my previous commit.  Fixed now - please re-download bp-test.

Also:

* Component descriptions tweaked for TeamBG Weapon Pack and Armor Pack for BG2:EE, BGT, Tutu
* Added BGT dependency for Turambar components 11, 18, 1055 to purge section (components will be hidden for non-BGT games)
* Added BGT dependency for NToTSCv171 to purge section (patch will be hidden for non-BGT games)

More updates!

* Clarified 'missing dependency' text:  "The dependency was removed due to it's translation" --> "This dependency is missing.  Possible reasons: 1) it might need translation for your selected language; 2) it might need BGT / EET if you have not selected a BG1 folder; 3) it might be a typo in BWS."

* Used Google Translate to add German and Russian translations for the new 'missing dependency' text.

* Tweaked some rules descriptions (no substantive changes).

* Enabled Enhanced Edition Trilogy installation with BWS but marked it 'W'arning to ensure users see that it is still pre-release

* Fixed incorrect reset of folder paths from EE versions to non-EE versions when clicking 'Back' from 'Choose your components' (BWS was reading the wrong section of the ini file)

* Fixed 'W'arning message box so each mod is only listed once even if it appears in multiple sections/categories in the selection tree

Users can directly download EET from GitHub, so why not allow them to install it using BWS, with an appropriate warning?  That was my reasoning.

basically the paladin stronghold questgiver only checks for the wellbeing of characters that are impossible to kill, despite the line he says

there is no way to fail the quest

@Almateria - what component of your mod includes this fix?  Can you split it out into a separate component so players can install just the fix if they do not want any of the restored/added content?

uh restored characters and dialogues. i probably could but including a literal bugfix component in a restoration mod is kinda iffy for me. not to mention the fact id much rather cut myself open again than rezip and recompile all the mod versions. and update the download pages. and everything.

@Lollorian - does the BWFixpack include direct bug fixes for the vanilla game or is it only patches for mods? I'm not sure if the BG2 Fixpack is still being updated, which would be the ideal second home for Almateria's fix.

Please do a --change-log (http://www.shsforums...post&pid=504049) on msectype.2da.

Also please upload your setup-rr.debug (just in case it has more info).

Can you just upload your msectype.2da file (never mind the change-log) from generalized biffing backup folder (use Windows search to find it)?

It seems to be looking for certain rows in that file and not finding them.  Not sure why.  I also noticed some parse errors due to a missing entry for WIZARD_PROTECTION_FROM_MAGIC_WEAPONS in Stats.IDS.

Just so you know, I usually see forum posts before PMs.

I'm investigating...

Can you run the --change-log tool on RR#AFIX.RR ?

It's a marker file that is supposed to be created by RR only after it adds some entries to msectype.2da (which would be in one of the original game BIFFs if RR is the first mod that tries to modify it, so it's understandable you aren't finding it as a standalone file).  I see in your setup-rr.debug log that RR#AFIX.RR exists, but I do not see the expected "Initializing Assorted Fixes installation ..." message which should appear when RR creates that marker file for the first time.  So apparently the marker file was already created earlier (before RR), so I am hoping the change log can tell us where it came from.

I'm sorry. It's embarrassing but even with the instructions I can't seem to figure out how to use the --change-log tool...

A simpler way is to open up a cmd.exe window, navigate to your game folder (cd C:\...pathtothegame), and then type:

WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log RR#AFIX.RR >rr-change-log.txt
This should create an rr-change-log.txt file in your game folder that we can examine.

Press Windows key + R (for "run") and then type in "cmd" and hit Enter.

This might not actually give us what we want to know, though.  Hold a minute while I look for another way...

I guess one thing to check would be if RR#AFIX.RR exists in any of your backup folders -- can you do a Windows search for it in your game directory and see if there are multiple copies?
