Cannot replicate the error message for Gavin v9 beta_150110c for my BG:EE install. :-( (Tried with direct install, not via BWS)

@jastey Would it help if I tried to reinstall it again and sent you my Debug and Weidu logs, or no?

Yes, definitely! And please also all information you can think of: Your BG:EE version, did you use BWS (which version) etc... it's weird the line is missing for you, as it is present in the mod package. Would you maybe also download the Gavin package again? Just to make sure nothing happened there.

@jastey Tried to PM you but couldn't figure out how to attach the files in a PM

Okay. So I (re)downloaded, extracted, and installed everything via the most recent build of BWS (BigWorldSetup-bigworldsetup-b8feabbc3656) is the file name.

Here are my Debug & Weidu logs (I don't know what all you need, so here's all three:

Attached File  BiG World Debug.7z   23.34K   196 downloads

Attached File  Setup-gavin.debug   147.69K   234 downloads

Attached File  WeiDU.log   20.98K   163 downloads

The extraction of the following mod(s) failed:
Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Graphics Overhaul: The Mod itself (bgeegraphics13.part1.rar)

Happens every time :(

You likely do have bgeegraphics13.part1.rar and bgeegraphics13.part2.rar but not bgeegraphics13.part3.rar in your download-folder.
Get http://www.shsforums...phics-overhaul/ and put it in that folder. Ignore the error when extracting bgeegraphics13.part2.rar.
And next time, maybe load the master-file and not the download since that error should have been fixed in the master-branch download.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

Ser Elryk: Thank you very much! (I don't think it is possible to attach files to a PM)

Could someone with more knowledge about the BWS help me with this. The missing line is in gavin.tra which seems to work fine for the other mod components (and also for a single install). Does BWS / Textpatch change anything here?

There are no BiG World Text/Smooth/Fixpacks involved in the BGEE-installs. So there's nothing that tries to patch the mods files.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

@Jastey: If you want to check if the files from your PC differ from Sers, you could use a md5sum tool like this,

Still trying to reproduce the error, thank you for your suggestion(s)!

I am a bit daft if it comes to downloading from the Bitbucket site. Where would I click to get the most recent BWS?

The latest version is the master and can be found here, see Commits for changes..
The downloads are for guys that don't like snapshots and are not updated frequently.

OK, I could reproduce the Gavin install error using the BWS.

But: The tra line is in the mod package. The mod can be installed as a single mod (without the BWS)

BWS maintainers please take over. :)

Question: How do I uninstall the BWS setup now (i.e. get rid of the "~SETUP-WEIDU.TP2~ #0 #0 ~SETUP-BWS.TP2~ #0 #0" in my weidu.log?

Question: How do I uninstall the BWS setup now ?

You restart the BiG World Setup.vbs file and tell it to restore the backup you made during the start of the install. It asks it as it can see that you have already installed mods in the game and a backup. You did make the backup?  It takes about 150MB's. For a 2500MB game, that quite nice.

In the case you didn't, just uninstall the game, remove the game folder and reinstall the game. You should move the BiG World Download directory away if it's in the game folder as you then don't have to re.download the archives it made the setup from.

get rid of the "~SETUP-WEIDU.TP2~ #0 #0 ~SETUP-BWS.TP2~ #0 #0" in my weidu.log?

That's there marked by the virtue of small edit  to the file during the BWS install, it's not actually install of anything, but a manipulation of the text of the file.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thank you, The Imp.

Concerning BWS: If all it does is starting the mod and giving the needed manual input automatically, how can it be that some tra lines are not found (at line @111, to be precise) - I hope this gives you guys a hint about what might be going on here.

Well, the BWS does this, but the BWS uses multiple other resources, and some of them fix things and some of those rarely break things, but it happens in automation, when the versions change. Did you have the line @111 in every version of your mod, was there a quick fix for it, and invisible/stealth update. Is there multiple .tra files with duplicate @x lines ? Languages ? All those can throw things in the gears of the great machine.

Honestly? I don't care about either of these. The mod installs fine on its own, so BWS should not break it. I am not annoyed nor do I want to sound offensive, just a matter of fact.

Please let me know if I can be of any help in identifying this bug. As it is now, I have no clue where to look.

The mod does crash even if you do a manual install if you do it the same way as sir did it.

start gavin-setup.exe
install component 0 (Romance)
exit the gavin-setup
start gavin-setup.exe
Install component 1 (mature content)
bang.

It does install if I select both options in one go...
Here's the output. (Sorry for the format, forum use some of those letters in brackets that are in my output.

Solution:

I think I know what's wrong.

There's an action that's only triggered if the gavinreinstall.mrk is missing, which load tras.
If you have that, those actions are left out.

If I move the loading of tras from here
/* TRAs declared in LANGUAGE must be reloaded - by hand, because of the copying (for non-EE version */

  LOAD_TRA ~gavin/tra/autotra/%LANGUAGE%/Setup.tra~
  LOAD_TRA ~gavin/tra/autotra/%LANGUAGE%/gavin.tra~

COPY ~GAVIN/B!component.xx~ ~GAVIN/backup/gavinreinstall.mrk~

END //gavinreinstall.mrk

To this place:
END //gavinreinstall.mrk

LOAD_TRA ~gavin/tra/autotra/%LANGUAGE%/Setup.tra~
LOAD_TRA ~gavin/tra/autotra/%LANGUAGE%/gavin.tra~

END //ALWAYS

My install would work now.
As I do not understand that coding stuff clearly, this might break something.
If things should be left as they are, BWS would have to stop and guys have to install the mod manually. Could be done by a little workaround.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

The quest with Nil Furmwing in Peldvale from Jarl's BGT Aventurepack is a bit broken (has been for a quiet a long time with all my BGT installs)

Spoiler

1) He is saying the wrong stuff when he appears at the map (DisplayStringHead(Myself,257698) // What have you done to yourself since we last saw one another, Jaheira?)

>BG1NPCsforSOA replaces that string (b7xsafa.dlg)

2) His dogs are attacking me and not the wolves (SCS related?)

War dogs in general have a weird behavior. They often tend to spawn with Bandits, but instead of attacking my party, they attack the bandits. Seems like there is a faulty script somewhere which may be the cause for the attack your nearest enemy behavior (?).

The Merchant quest (Coast Way [first encounter with Elminster]) from Jarl's BGT Adventure pack also has a little hickup. The merchant, which is supposed to lie on the floor is running towards you when your in his sight (you actually have to give him a health potion to trigger this behavior [since the script has a HPGT trigger]). The merchant himself has 1 HP (checked via Infinity), although it seems like that he is somehow regaining Hitpoints when ingame. Do NPC's gain hitpoints as well if my party goes to sleep?

Last but not least, a farmer from BG1 Unfinished Business appears at Wyrms Crossing (he is supposed to appear in the Wood of Sharp Teeth / Peldvale [according to the journal entry]) and tells me about someone dumping trash in Sharp Teeth Forests' lakes.
