Wouldn't these components conflict?

:::

- BG2 NPC Mods -

Jastey's Solaufein

&

Weimer's Solaufein

Yes: They both introduce Solaufein as a joinable character.
No: My Solaufein is coded so that Weimer's has priority: My Solaufein doesn't spawn if Weimer's is in the party, the starter quest can be played without taking him in the party but go and collect Weimer's afterwards; my mod does not touch Weimer's in any way.
But installing both and being interested in mine (i.e., not sending him away etc.) will lead to two Solaufein's waiting at the Underdark exit.

NOTE: What might interest you more is that my Solaufein is not in English comletely, yet. Large parts are still in German. It is stated in the language version but if BWS treats it as a full English version than there is little I can do. (Still, thank you for your interst!)

BG1 Quest Mods:

Ascalon's Questpack [EN] has some quest/npc texts which are either not in English or in very broken English

Ascalon's Questpack has been fully revised. The current version with a fully revised and proof-read English version is here:

https://github.com/w..._QUEST/releases

Alec (from the Romantic Encounters Mod) appears as 2 separate identical NPCs standing next to each other.

Weird, are you sure you uninstalled any former version properly? I'll look at his spawning script, anyway, because while testing v2.0 there were instances where he didn't spawn at all (maybe that Alec made a visit in a parrallel universe?...)

Thank you very much for reporting!

@jastey Thanks for the info! =)

I just noticed that it isn't just Alec, but apparently all BG1 Romantic Encounters NPCs have a same-named twin now, lol. Not sure what went wrong. I'm going to try a fresh install.

UPDATE: Re-installed everything. No more "twins" XD

Also I believe the BG1 NPC Project - Component 0008: The BG1 NPC Project: Add Non-Joinable NPC portraits to quests and dialogues

&

The Picture Standard for BG:EE, might conflict.

The BG1 NPC Project component seems to override the Picture Standard Portraits of various NPCs.

UPDATE 2: Derp. I think I was just supposed to manually put the bmps from The Picture Standard into my override folder.

-- Problems During Extraction --

Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Graphics Overhaul

bgeegraphics13.part1.rar
seemed to extract with no problems

bgeegraphics13.part2.rar seemed to fail.

bgeegraphics13.part3.rar seemed to not extract at all.

(Also, prior to extraction, clicking "Test present mods" seems to damage bgeegraphics13.part1.rar, and delete bgeegraphics13.part3.rar)

-- Problems During Installation --

BG1 NPC Project:
Banter Timing Tweak

BG1 Unfinished Business:
Area Corrections and Restorations

Rogue Rebalancing:
Thief kit revisions

BP-BGT Worldmap

FYI - BG1UB Area Corrections and Restorations won't install on BGEE (I've put a PREDICATE !GAME_IS ~bgee~ condition on it). From what I could tell, the fixes there are mostly in vanilla BGEE.

Also, what was wrong with the Banter Timing Tweak from BG1NPC?

FYI - BG1UB Area Corrections and Restorations won't install on BGEE (I've put a PREDICATE !GAME_IS ~bgee~ condition on it). From what I could tell, the fixes there are mostly in vanilla BGEE.

I gathered that, but thought that it might be worth mentioning for tweaking it in the BWS?

Also, what was wrong with the Banter Timing Tweak from BG1NPC?

I'm not sure. It said "You already have the Banter Timing Tweak installed.", but the vanilla BG1EE install was fresh... But I just did another fresh install using the updated BWS that Quiet/Silent_AC revised about six hours ago prior to me re-installing and then writing this. (BigWorldSetup-bigworldsetup-b99166c1dd1b)

The Commits mentioned "BGEEGO update" and "Minor fixes", but I still had trouble extracting it. One additional thing also went wrong with Rogue Rebalancing this time for some reason. Here's a detailed account of my install. Hopefully it's understandable. And my new Debug and Weidu logs are attached at the bottom).

Forgive me if this is a dumb question: but I'm new with interacting with online communities and forums. Is this the right thread to post things like the above? Should I have started a new thread? Should I have PM'd Quiet or ALIEN? I'm still confused on what's the "proper procedure", lol. My intention is of course to help in my own, limited, not-technically-adept way. :lol2:

That was a long week and I hope that you are happy with the release. If something blows up, see you tomorrow.

Happy is an understatement, really! Thanks a lot Alien :)

One thing though: do we still need to manually replace 7zip with a never version, or this is already taken care of?

There is a bug between Ascalon Breagar BG1 NPC (german translation [no idea if the english one is faulty as well]) and the Viconia component of BG1 NPCs at Beginning.

If you have Ascalon with ya and meet Viconia at her new Friendly Arm Inn Spawn location, the Flaming Mercenary who is supposed to chase her will not spawn due to a new state (25/28, which triggers the spawn) in the BGVICONI.DLG with this action (which seems to be the old spawn location):

CreateCreature("FLAM2",[605.901],14) // Flaming Fist Mercenary
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",SetInterrupt(FALSE))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",ChangeAIScript("INITDLG",OVERRIDE))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",MoveToPoint([507.806]))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",SetInterrupt(TRUE))

The new BG1 NPC at Beginning location is supposed to look like that:

CreateCreature("FLAM2",[3295.3668],14)
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",SetInterrupt(FALSE))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",ChangeAIScript("INITDLG",OVERRIDE))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",MoveToPoint([3197.3573]))
ActionOverride("FlamingFist2",SetInterrupt(TRUE))

Ding0's Quest Pack (Shouldn't this be listed under Quest Mods instead?)

Fixed.

Big Picture (Now an Expert Mod), is still checked in the Standard version along with several components)

Yes, a few components were specially marked as standard.

NPC Kitpack - Component 2500: Give Nalia Adventurer Kit, & Give Nalia a Mage Kit (2510: Abjurer), are both checked and highlighted green. (Wouldn't they conflict?)

No, originally Nalia has dualclass thief/mage, this mod allows you to make her an adventurer/abjurer, for example.

Added Generalized Biffing. And about compatibility soon find out...

Silver Star NPC. The description says "You should always have Silver Star in your party if you install the mod. because if you don't do that, dialogues get scrumbled and it causes a faulty game."

I would set the mod to be in the standard compilation, but not installed by default... so the player would need to go and enable it in the BWS to make it to extract/install.

Hey again, everyone.

Would someone mind explaining to me the process of how an Infinity Engine mod becomes Enhanced Edition-compatible, and then how that Enhanced version gets implemented and included into the BWS? There are several mods that I know are EE-compatible that I'm looking forward to seeing in BWS in the future, such as Divine Remix. But is it all up to the original mod creator to update a mod, or no?

I'm curious because there is one mod in particular that I would VERY, VERY much love to see become EE-compatible and included in the BWS. And that mod is called Mal des Vampirismus (also called "Dawn of Vampirism"). I know the mod is included in the BWS (for BWP) and that there is an English translation that is very solid from what I've read. If it would be up to the mod creator to make it EE-compatible, I would like to contact them and request them to do so. However, my problem is, I can only speak, write, and read English, and the mod page, and I assume the creator, are German (I believe). Here is the mod homepage:

So would someone who understands how all of this works mind telling me if there's anything that I can do to try and get this mod updated and one day included into the BWS for BG2EE (and eventually the Enhanced Edition Trilogy)? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! =)

If you want to convert the mod to EE by yourself, here's the good place to start digging. You'll then be able to add it to BWS manually for your own pleasure. However if you want a wider publicity for EE version, or just don't plan to do it yourself, contacting the author is your best move. Don't fret about doing so in english, it's pretty much default language novadays anyway :)

@Creepin Just skimmed over it, and yeah... looks waaaay too complicated for me, lol. I think I'm going to try and e-mail the author. If nothing comes from that, I might buckle down, do the research, and attempt to convert it myself. Thanks for the pointers!
