hello i just enter the second part of bg and i notice something strange in Irenicus dungeon.It is almost impossible to loot a body or open a container cause it closes in a second,i don't have time to move my cursor to get the loot,i can stand on the loot in the floor and get(which is annoying if there are many bodies)but there is serious problem with containers.I try to pause the same moment the container open-close in a millisecond so the container stays open but it is not always successful. I will appreciate any help.
It's likely that your character script flat out does this, as it orders the character that does nothing to do nothing. Try to set the character script to NONE, and you do this by going to the character sheet, click the CUSTOMIZE, and in there the SCRIPT, and that open up the selection where you can select the script of choice. Or you can extinguish the lantern that is the AI on/off switch. The last option is to use the SPACE to pause the game, but the AI can actually get through that too.

I would like to say, that I don't know for which strange reason, I wasn't able to install baldur's gate graphics overhaul :(

Edit: Got another bug - I don't know if it's Bws related, but I guess asking won't hurt; I've downloaded the mod that restores the old cinematics; it works but only partially. For what I was able to see (I played bg 10 hours today) half of my cinematics are old-school (1998) while the others are the new cinematic inside Baldur's gate EE. What can I do?

Thanks :) ,I'll try this and let you know..

I have the various Big Picture AI scripts to my characters (BPmulti,BPpureF,etc etc) and I had not any issue during first part of BGT.

 

EDIT: OK I tried now and it is still the same problem.I changed AI to none,i tried to grab a loot from dead body, but before i move my mouse it was closed,then I tried to disable the AI again with no success.Pause seems to work but not always, sometimes i have to try again and again,it is really irritating :(

 I don't know if that is a local problem to Irenicus dungeon or it will go on through my game.

.Ah one other thing I notice is that some characters, mostly Imoen,don't respond to my orders to move from one place to another,especially in long distances they stay behind and stop in one place..i have to click again and again to force them come next to other party members,i even change pathfinding from 32000 to 64000 ,i tried with AI on/off,and nothing..

Those issues are minor,not game breaking, but still very very disturbing..And I wonder why on earth they started after second half of the game?

Store?!? Just open up the <game directory>/TobEx.log -file with Notepad and that's the log.

Just want to tell in case anybody else have same problems everything is back to normal after exit Irenicus dungeon.

1-  Any chance you could add BG1 NPC Project to bws for Baldur's gate:EE?
Also it would be cool if you could add item revisions! :D

Not until the authors make their mods compatible with BGEE.
 

Seems to be an issue (with the last version not this new version but it might still be there) where the stratagems component "replace +1 arrows/bolts/bullets with fine ones" claims incompatibility with bgt and 1pp HQ music. (there is also a 1pp hq music problem with that deleting custom mod acm's but that is fixed by replacing the converter in the bgt package with one from the main package)

Can I know more about this incompatibility?

 

also tactics irenicus claims incompatibly with irenicus in spellhold which is no longer true due to scs removing improved irenicus in hell which tactics irenicus covers.

And can I know exact name of mods and components of which you speak?

You're using the latest version of BWS? Because I have everything perfectly installed. Checked several times.

 

I have problem when I enter into AR0603 (irenicus's dungeon second floor). RoT animation done sucesfully, but there is an attack, Thieves attacking some Mage in some room of that level, and that causes CTD.

well i don't know anymore about the incompatibility with +1 arrows in to fine arrows, all i know is the bws program claims there is such a incompatibility between that stratagems component and with BGT and 1pphqmusic none of which makes any sense at all. i ended up installing the component afterwards manually and it works just fine.

 

stratagems irenicus in spellhold only affects that fight (it makes the clones in the fight perfect copies) and tactics improved irenicus (as far as i am aware) only affects the final battle with irenicus in hell. i believe the incompatibility between this two was due to an older version of stratagems in which its irenicus component did the same thing as tactics in hell (slight differences) however now with the latest version scs irenicus in hell as been removed.

Oh, that's how... This is not entirely true, BWS says:
"BGT is preferred to Tactics (component 0) or stratagems (component 3010) or drizztsaga (component 2) or 1pp_hq_music_BGT (component 2 or 3)"
And if with stratagems here been a mistake, then all true about 1pp_hq_music_BGT - components 2 and 3 are only for BG2. For BGT need to install components 0 or 1.
Between themselves stratagems and 1pp_hq_music_BGT do not conflict.

Yes, you're right, these two components must be compatible. But stratagems' readme says that mod has its counterpart of Tactics' component. Perhaps stratagems' "smarter mages" improve Irenicus.

Quiet, well I have been researching using TobEx console log and I have found there is missing BAM files. Thats already been fixing by reinstalling. I have used wrong unicode codepage.

Well reinstall doesnt fix this. ill try your suggestion.

Hi @ Quiet

 

The other day I wanted to start a new run through the BGEE/BG2EE games and wanted to add some of the new mods like Saradas Magic and the likes which I never tried. I have installed mods manually but I always return to BWS since install is so easy and much more bug free due to a better install order i presume?

 

So my questions are:

1: is there a way to edit the install order of BWS? for example add Saradas Magic or BP ascension?

2: Is there a way one could help you out with testing or something o others can enjoy these mods if they are not readily installing them manually out of lack of knowledge or the like?

There's a faq in the docs folder. If the url did not change, the BWS will get the new file anyway. If you know where to put new mods, pausing the BWS and installing manually might turn out easier though.

I've notice something strange,though I am playing a female character,Jaheira and Aerie still fighting over my PC and speak to each other as if she is male (you trying to get HIS attention / attempt to help HIM on HIS quest /you think HE will be impress etc etc ) and my replying options are as if i have to choose between the two (Jaheira you know i like Aerie or Aerie you know i don't have that kind of feelings for you etc).

I have play as a male and as female many times in the past (BGT,BWP,BP and of course vanilla w or w/o various mods) but I think that is first time I have this problem.

Any ideas about?It is normal?I don't know what to reply to those lunatics and game doesn't give me a neutral kind of reply, I'm forced to take sides as if I am going to start a romance with either of those two..I romance both in the past as a male PC and now i m planning to wait for solaufein ;)

Perhaps I can change any global with shadow keeper,but I don't dare to do anything without the advice of someone who really knows what to do.

Is there any possibility that your gender was reverted at any stage of the game ? There's a chance of this happening if you have a party member that uses Wild Magic.

It's probably some "Remove gender/race requirements for romances" or similar. Just tell them to buzz off. Or edit savegame and check for variables like "Jaheiraromanceactive" or something like that. Feel free to remove them.

No.. no gender switching belt no wild magic user.. 

 

It's probably some "Remove gender/race requirements for romances" or similar. Just tell them to buzz off. Or edit savegame and check for variables like "Jaheiraromanceactive" or something like that. Feel free to remove them.

I checked romances they are both in value 1, I will try to delete both variables, then rest(cause that's when they start bickering) and see..

EDIT: I deleted all 4 variables Jaheira romance, jaheira romance active, Aerie romance ,aerie romance active and guess what???

I rest they started the bickering and I check the variables are re-appeared..LOL I give up..
