I was messing with imoen2.cre. But it turns out I should have been messing with imoen211.cre. I found out after long, tedious waiting through all the cutscenes and extra crap that happens at the beginning of bg2 way too many times.

Hello again,my BWS game was running smoothly up to now, but i have a problem again :( I play Drizzt saga and i have CTD when i have drizzt in my party,i guess it is from his avatar,which is not visible when he joins ,it is empty,and only if i remove and add again armor or try to change armor it appears.then either i have CTD after exit inventory ,or game continues fine ,i go to hell and if i save at any point it still ok but i cannot reload any of the save games :) I mean I cannot load anyway with drizzt in my party ..It CTD and there is message:

"An Assertion failed in ChVidImage.cpp at line number 1921

Programmer says: .BAM is corrupted (GetFrame() failed" 

I search and saw this error again but not in drizzt saga so i thought to ask once again the experts for help.

Anyway i tried to change drizzt appearance with shadow keeper to drow,elf male fighter ,elf male fighter low,L elf male fighter etc with no success so far.

I have same CTD upon loading game with same message,except low elf male fighter and L male elf ,where the game crashes but i received the window message "a problem stop program from working correctly ..etc.."

Any suggestions?

As i told before i use standard BWS with few changes,i have post my logs before i can post again if needed.

Unfortunately, my only solution to fix this is to remove him from party using IESE, then after load, pause quick and kill him via ctrl + y . That's unfortunately not the best solution, but it worked. Other NPC's joined sucesfully. However, you need wulfgar in party, and have access to icewind dale.

omg!!! LOL i have to kill drizzt?Then my 13 years old daughter will kill me :D She is is waiting patiently for the point that Drizzt joins my party and she wants to play the drizzt saga, she already make her own save before i enter the inn yesterday night...hahahahaa.

I hope there is another solution I remember i played two times the saga few years ago once in BGT once in BWS without any problem.

Now i 'm trying to finish NToSC while looking for solution.Thanks a lot for reply...I will try this if there is not anything else.. :)

ok i tried something simple and seems to work. I notice that defender scimitar was not able to remove from shield hand so i open the save with shadow keeper and just clear defender,i add a couple other scimitars to inventory so i can try.The game loads normally no CTD,i dont know if that was the issue,I think so yes.

You can try this to your old save and see if the defender was the culprit. :)

Got a question to ask.

If I want to play SOA+TOB and I don't have Baldur's gate installed, when using the detailed customization option, I'm able to write a " - " on the baldur's gate text box to avoid installing the first baldur's gate.

Right now I find myself in an akward position. I want to play with the first baldur's gate but I don't want to install SOA+TOB. I wonder why I can't use bws with only bg installed - am I missing something? [I tried to put a " - " on bgII text box but I didn't succeed]

Yes. The fact that BG2 engine is usually the one that's wanted to be used, either in BGT-weidu or EasyTutu. Well and also that 99% of the mods today are made the BG2 engine alone(or to EE and by so the BG2 engine). Yes, there was the Fields of the Dead mod for the longest time running as the single mod not converted to the later engine, but even it got a BGT&Tutu conversion eventually.

The Tutu thread has died a long time ago'es. :devil: Yeah, that's sort of a lie or half truth but you are already taking it with salt, so. This of course is not to diminish the effect the Tutu has indirectly had with the BiG World Project.

OK, so there's the GUI mod for the widescreen moded BG1 game, but that's well just a thing the Widescreen mod itself doesn't do for the BG1, yeah cause it adds custom Graphical User Interface art.

I guess yours is the only request for a BG1 BWS - or at least only one of a hand full at best.
The response to PST/IWD1+2/BG1EE and BG2EE wasn't overwhelming either (at least from what I read).
 
BG1 is harder to mod than BG2 and BG2 is the better engine. And there are only a few mods for BG1 only, so I guess a good source may be this or that.
 
So I guess there may be 15-30 mods that would work...
You could use the BWS to install it, but currently there's no such solution. And you/one volunteer'd have to sit down and work for a day or two.

Well, to be sincere, I am also an avid player of planescape torment and I would like to thank you for it; let me tell you the truth - I do not think it is a lack of response, I actually feel like the real problem is a lack of an audience. What I mean is that Bws don't get as much advertisement as it could, and willing or unwilling, I do not see how these "features" can be appreciated if there is almost no one to appreciate them.
And I say that because I see, for example, that people on baldur's gate forum do not even imagine the existence of a tool such as this one - and I'm actually quite sure that like the 98% of them - if not 99% do not even know about the spellhold studios homepage and forum.

Anyway, if the response was underwhelming, let me thank you again for both planescape torment and BG:EE Bws.
I'm sorry that I will never appreciate IWD - it's one of the games I strictly avoid ~

Seems to be an issue (with the last version not this new version but it might still be there) where the stratagems component "replace +1 arrows/bolts/bullets with fine ones" claims incompatibility with bgt and 1pp HQ music. (there is also a 1pp hq music problem with that deleting custom mod acm's but that is fixed by replacing the converter in the bgt package with one from the main package) 

 

also tactics irenicus claims incompatibly with irenicus in spellhold which is no longer true due to scs removing improved irenicus in hell which tactics irenicus covers.

Are you sure you need them ? The Converter can .bif the files and convert them to a faster to read files at the same time. I am not at all sure it does that, but there's the chance that it does.

Hi again, I have problem when I enter into AR0603 (irenicus's dungeon second floor). RoT animation done sucesfully, but there is an attack, Thieves attacking some Mage in some room of that level, and that causes CTD.

Got two question to ask:

1-  Any chance you could add BG1 NPC Project to bws for Baldur's gate:EE?
Also it would be cool if you could add item revisions! :D

2- Why is my Bws downloading two overhauls?

IWD has one of the most beautifully crafted pieces of art: Great music, great areas (backgrounds). To me those really look better than BG1 or BG2.
Animations may be lacking a bit but I like it. Also, the presentation is less biased. It's less intrusive like "we present you an evil guy/option" or "here is the goody paladin option" or "there is the evil guy"...

The file is treated as an addon. If you want to have a difference, you'll have to edit Includes\07_Net.au3, line 267. You could add the prefix somehow somewhere...

This would just add an additional text, but be a bit ugly...

You could work a bit on it by using if then else and replace the text by a token to shorten the place...

Are you sure you need them ? The Converter can .bif the files and convert them to a faster to read files at the same time. I am not at all sure it does that, but there's the chance that it does.

 

nah it doesn't bif them, just deletes them flat out.

 

also pack mule is bugged causing crashes when entering friendly arm inn. seems like the animation doesn't get installed correctly. i vaguely remember having this problem on my old install from 2012 and fixed it while still being able to use pack mule, however i can't figure that out this time and have resorted to just deleting the entries from the area bcs.

hello i just enter the second part of bg and i notice something strange in Irenicus dungeon.It is almost impossible to loot a body or open a container cause it closes in a second,i don't have time to move my cursor to get the loot,i can stand on the loot in the floor and get(which is annoying if there are many bodies)but there is serious problem with containers.I try to pause the same moment the container open-close in a millisecond so the container stays open but it is not always successful. I will appreciate any help.
