Just to mention that BWP does not support EE games but only classic BG.

Any possibility to run this on a mac? Probably not, but is it maybe possible to run it on a pc and then copy paste all of it into the Shadows of Amn folder? Except the .exe wouldn't patched and there might be a load of other issues.
Probably not. As a linux user i could tell that installing mods in not_windows is pure pain. As you've been told before - you should install BGT on Windows (external USB drive, VirtualBox), biff install, remove backup and run it on mac through Wine. Install in wine BG2 default installation and delete folder, then copy into that place your installed BGT (be sure to keep same path).
I do this for like forever on linux, don't see why it shouldn't work for mac.

Does anyone have an idea how to gen-biff and cleanup a BG2EE / EET installation? Doing a trial run of Enhanced Edition Trilogy, but I don't see the batch files for them, or if I am, I'm not recognizing them as such.

Does anyone have an idea how to gen-biff and cleanup a BG2EE / EET installation? It's generally understood that you don't need to use GenBiff to a EE game, and a clear up you just delete files the game doesn't use(modname -folders, setup-modname.* -files).
I don't know the actual details for this, but I suspect it has to do with the EE games being capable to use multicore processing. Unlike the non-EE games, but that's because there were no home scale computers then to utilize that in 1999, which is when the game engine was programmed originally. It only became commercially available in 2004, according to Wikipedia.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Oh, okay, did not know that. Never done an EE/EET install before. So does that mean the Setup executables and the mod folders in BG/BG2? Such as /BGII-EE/7c#sartweak?

...hmm. After any attempted installation using BiG World Setup, when I run it again, this pops up and it crashes immediately:
Only way to fix it I've found has been to delete the BiG World Setup folder in BWS's directory and replace it with the one from the BWS download.
Hmm, deleting User.ini in the Config folder seemed to fix it as well.

Are you trying to run BWS from the download archive without unpacking it first?

No, it's fully unpacked. As long as I have no User.ini file, it works fine, but once it's built one I get that error when loading BWS when it's doing its check at the beginning.

Nope, same thing. Deleting the User.ini consistently fixes it, though.

Other thing
In your screenshot there is only one start file fot BWS (it is not visible which one?)
You should have
- Start BiG World Setup - Update If Needed.vbs
- Start BiG World Setup - Without Update.vbs
I suggest that you download BWS once again, unpack it and start it with that second file (without update).

I have the 'with update' one packed into /bws backup so I don't accidentally update. The only one I've ever run has been 'without update'.

Hard to say what went wrong without knowing exactly everything you did before.
Thre is very good tutorial to use BWS from the main expert of the tool https://forums.beamd...-for-windows/p1

I'd already followed that. Don't worry too much about it, I was pointing out the problem more as a side-note than a serious issue since fixing it long enough to install mods / EET / whatever else is easy. I always export my current selection to a non-BWS folder anyway in case something borks up during install or whatever and I have to reinstall something, so no matter.

I'm out of the loop. I haven't messed with a BGT/BWP install in years. I'd like to give it another go with BG:EE/SOD/BG2:EE. Is it possible to go BGT/BWP with the enhanced versions?
If so, what guide should I follow?
I'm interested in trying out most of the available mods to see everything the community has to offer, primarily focused on bugfixes and new content (quests, areas, dialogue).

The equivalent to BGT in the EE world is EET

Install is supported by BWS.
