ERROR: Failure("EETBPFIX BG:EE mod is not recognized by EET, so it can't be imported to BG2:EE with EET")
Enhanced Edition Trilogy (Enhanced Edition Trilogy) was not installed due to errors.

NOTE : It worked all fine for BG:EE and it happens on BG:2EE installation part.

Hope anyone will be able to get me out of this trouble :)

This was a temporary error in BWS which is corrected by now, You are among the few unlucky ones who downloaded just that version of the BWS. Make a new install with using the update vbs to start BWS, it will automatically grab the repair.

Anyone knows about this? Just in case I just reinstalled the game if I needed to tweak something in or out

Hello, wanted to see if anyone can lend a hand

Made a Tactics install with some extra and some left out components/mods, and all fine and dandy. My problem comes with Multiclass Multikits

1- I don't know how to install the new kits, it said to enter the folder and run an exe or something like that which would install the newly made kits (managed to make the multikits, no issue doing that)

2- And this one is the one that I really want to know how to fix. Multiclass Multikit says it lets me cross ALL classes, but during the BWS install it only let me make the usual Multiclasses, Rogue/Fighter/Mage/Cleric/Ranger. No Paladins, no Monks, nothing besides the basic ones.

Its a EE install if anyone wonders about which one is it

Well, you can't have multi classed Paladins in the game, so dream on after you find that out during the crash it would make.
But you can make a Barbarian/Nercomancer/Assassin. That's definitely not a normal base class kit. Well, when it works.
Monks didn't have kits, and still don't in nonEE games.

1. The maker asks to name the kitcode... which should be an 8 letter tag that has only in game code feature. Then it asks base class-es, kits those classes have, and so on and forth, kit name and stuff. Just run the thing manually and it will give you all the things you need to insert after each answer you give it. Nothing fancy. And it will make the files you need, which is a script file you can assign to the player character, which will get the kit when it has the correct multi-class.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thanks for the info, doesnt Sun Soul Monk count as a kit in EE

When the kit install/creation showed up, it showed like 24 Fighter kits, but almost no new ones in the other classes. Does the EE have little quantity of modded kits?

Yes, that's one of the additions from v2. ? update the EE games had... as well as the Sorcerer kits. But as those are from non multiclassed kits, they are not, and will not ever be select-able. At least within the foreseeable future.
Yeah, the current new EE kits need to use a somewhat new .tpa file that most mods have not updated to, so there's not that many kits to select from. I myself am guilty of having a kits mod that hasn't updated to EE even. So...

Good to know, now when someone asks me why EE is so little in kits quantity, I can finally point my finger at someone

jk, thanks for the help IMP, I guess I'll have to make do with what I get. I already have an old BG version modded to the bones with BWS and all the old and new stuff, I'm mostly gonna play EE for SoD and Roxanne's RtF and TTR content along with the new mods

Rumor has it that a patch for baldur's gate is on the horizon. I've did a fresh install using bws and it seems sandrah mods seem to have problems being installed in the latest installation.

Hello everyone,

First of all im thankful for the help i received on my previous thread (i had a unfortunate buggy version and the patch of the next day worked perfectly).

Im here to make a suggestion im not sure it's the correct topic for this.

I did my BWS install and all is fine really, its an amazing job, im impressed everyday of the work done here :)

My "issue" is :

I selected "French" in addition for my installations and nothing is in french in the game at all. (And even in the language choices i cant pick french in the main menu).

I would like at least that the voices are in French (Nostalgia :) of my first playthrough almost 20 years ago) but as you play the game from BG2 folder & "select campaign" i dont wanna mess up my installation for the BG1 & SOD voices.

Does anyone know how i could do this miracle ?

Or by anychance tell me which files to replace by french ones maybe.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day !

First - the language you select on BWS in the beginning is just the interface language on the BWS menues (there are only 3 EN, DE, RUS) - it is not what you use in game.

So - you have your unmodded games installed and you made french your language

Now - you start BWS and probably select english for the BWS interface. You select the game you like to mod

On this screen

BWSLang.jpg

You select your preferred language.

If you just select FR, you will only see those mods with a french translation. You can add additional languages after the FR. This means that also mods with those other languages will be shown for your selection. Whenever possible, BWS shhould install the french translation of the mod but if there is none, it will go to the alternatives you may have selected. (which mod is available in which language is based on what language the mod itself provides, there is nothing BWS can add to this.)

This is how it is supposed to work. Honestly, I have no own experience with it as I just install english.

PS - You can open the file WeiDu.conf in the game directory you are modding (with any editor) to see that it has "lang_dir = fr_fr" inside, i.e. all mod added text goes into the french dialog.tlk(s).

Just to be clear.

BG1EE is available in French but not BG2EE (Beamdog has promised it but did nothing, the "community" is still working on it, but not Beamdog).

For this reason, EET is not really available in French :(

Using this argument, the only language for EET (or other larger modded installs) is English. EET itself is available in French and some other languages. Not every mod and not even the vanilla game is available in all languages.

German, spanish, polish, none is available throughout. BWS can only deal with the sources as they are. If you go to a selection that has *french only*, your choices will be limited. Same for any other language except English.

I was about what I call "vanilla EET" (EET with no other mods...)

Off topic :

I am far more concerned by the fact that BG2EE is not available in French (and then EET) than by an hypothetical so_good_mod_not_available_in_french that_I_absolutely_want_it_on_my_run* :)

No offense to mods (or their modders) not available in French. I am just fed up because when I bought BG2EE, French "was coming soon"... in fact, it's still coming... by the community...

I just installed the mod with the 'tactical' mode selected. After literally hours of installing, the game started just fine - but the world map has no texture. The in-game and local maps are totally fine, it's only just the world map. It's perfectly playable since the locations icons are there, but it's sad that they're on this black field. Any ideas?

Is it an EE install? Did you install BP_BGT-worldmap mod?

Hello there.

I set-up a BiG World Setup-based install over 2 years ago (this is me, managed to set-up an account since then thanks to Guerrilla Mail). I played a bit and then got distracted by XCOM 1 and 2. I've recently picked up BG 1 again and am working my way through Durlag's Tower before doing the return to Candlekeep in chapter 6.

I've been taking notes of any bugs I've spotted (not many which is an incredible achievement on its own) and was wondering if there's any reason to keep doing that until then end of BG 1 and post them.

I installed using BWS on 27th November 2015, there's been quite a bit of change since then I'm sure...

Also, it's the original disk based trilogy and not the EE versions.

So still worthwhile reporting in-game issues, not those to do with the BWS set-up?

Unless you want to be totally frustrated by a lot of "already fixed" responses, the only way I can see is that you do some extra work before reporting issues, i.e. check which mod is the source of the problem and look if that mod has either been updated meanwhile or current version of BWFixpack includes it already.

I am afraid there is no real addressee for problems with a 2 year old classic game install?

There is a new version of BWP as well already, so probably no interest from that side.

I'm real dumb. How do I find out which mods I installed? I just chose the tactical version, which was supposed to have most amount of mods without regards to difficulty? It's bloody tough at times, too.

There is a file *Weidu.log" in your game directory. You can open it with any text editor, it lists all your installed mods per component.

Aw heck. No, it's not installed. Is it too late? I've already completed the mines of Nashkel.

Also did you make Sandrah? I'm doing my first ever evil playthrough in my first ever modded playthrough, so I didn't end up using her, but Montaron's been doing miracles with Gorion's dagger.
