My Ajantis mods changed:

Sir Ajantis for BGII mod: setup name is now ajantisbg2 (former c#ajantis_sva). Portrait choices are no longer part of the mod (i.e. the last player input needed during install is now gone).

Ajantis BG1 Expansion: portrait choices are no longer part of the mod (i.e. no more player choices during install requested).

Alternate Ajantis portrait choices are now a separate mod. If you want to include it, there is two different packages for original BG(II) and BG(II):EE. Best if installed after the Ajantis BGII mod, because it gives portrait choices for BG1 and BGII (the latter only, if the Ajantis BGII mod is installed).

Ajantis Portrait Pack for original BG(II)

Ajantis Portrait Pack for BG(II):EE

I downloaded an 10/30 version of the BWS, but it won't recognize the older SCS v21 but goes for v27.

Can it still be installed anyway?

It will probably work. But "Smarter general AI" still won't install. So no AI enhancements or tactical components...

If someone could reupload SCS + SCSII Version 21, that would be really helpful with MegeMod installations at the moment.

They are both still available on the G3 download page. Uploading your own copies of my mods is on the very short list of things that I have asked people not to do, so please don't.

Sorry, I didn't know that you already asked people not to do that.

But on this downloadpage: http://forums.gibber...oads&showcat=33

which should be for SCS2 I get the message: This category doesn't have any files yet

and for SCS I only see Version 27

Or do I have the wrong Webside?

Early versions of SCSII and SCS can be downloaded from the bottom right corner of the SCS page.

I played BG back in 1998 and just stumbled upon the EE Version and this massive amount of mods.

And I want to play with a ton of them. :)

Thank you very much for this great tool, it is a big help!

After a couple of install attempts with the most recent BWS, I finally got it to complete - but now I'm having horrendous lag. The only things that failed to install were the Smarter AI portions of SCS (27) and the generalized biffing (which I assume is the reason for the lag). I attempted to install the biffing again separately, but it failed both on the "all" and "some" files options.

Here are my BWS install and biffing debugs, if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Another thing - if I roll a Psion, he/she dies on character creation. What's up with that?

Is it only the Psion kit, or all ? Hmm. Cause Kovram reported same like symptoms, but said nothing about the kit...

Alan Wiggs, report the Gen_bif error here ! Hopefully Wisp can sort it out. Yeah, it's the primary reason most likely that your game laggs, but try all the other 23 things to ease it...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll do that.

I made a Psion for both a new BG and BG2 game and both of them immediately died on game start; just dropped and a sparkly animation, then the 'you died' screen. For BG2 it did the whole spell-choosing dialog first; I don't know if it's supposed to do that with a Psion.

The likely cause there is that one of the mods changed the effect( w_pis.spl -file) that causes the kits effect to something deadly.

Seems about right. The whole discipline-choosing dialogue seemed to put me at -1 levels - can't level drain kill? It's probably more complex than that.

Yes, the level drained to negative values will kill by default.
Hmm, so it's an actual incompatibility between the BGT's changed-starts and the Psion kits themselves. Darn. Ouh, and there's a few other kits that have this.

When I get a chance I'll record more specifically what happens in the textlog and get lt out for mod authors to see in case it's not a known issue.

Hi Alan do you know how to use dltcep or nearinfinity? If you do, could you open W_PIS in you overrde folder, there will be a number of effects labelled "Protection: from Opcode [101]" could you add a copy of one of those and edit it to protect from opcode 216 (Level Drain)? And check if that stops psions from dying?

I'm no expert on NI but there's no file by that name in my override folder. Perhaps that's the issue?

I haven't yet tried to make a new psion again but I'll check before and after I do that.

Oh, would this be something I'd need to uninstall generalized biffing to do? Because I did get that to work.

Nope, the Near Infinity(or the DLTCEP) handles the biffed content as well as the files in the override folder very well.

But you have to make take the "W_PIS.spl" and edit it, I do this with DLTCEP. and make the said change, a lot like this.

After some break I'm back and ready to continue updating the BWS. Well, at once I'm post the the new version.

Changed:
  • Now uses FP by Lollorian (see how it will)
  • Replaces "old" WeiDUs (thanks to Dabus)
Updated:
  • Mod list (for BGT and BG:EE)

Cheers to you for updating the BWS

I was afraid I was going to be stuck with my installation from 2012 forever. I manually installed it a couple of times but since I got used to BWS I just couldn´t bring myself to do it again. :whistling:

Does this have all the advanced features like selecting specific components from mods?
