DR skipped installing its Battleguard kit after EET installed its kit. Was I wrong thinking the skip of the former was caused by the latter?

No you're not wrong. When DR was updated to work with IWDEE, it would not add the Battleguard kit if the IWDEE version (OHTEMPUS) existed. Instead DR just changes the kit name from "cleric of" to "Battleguard of."

By my very rough understanding of events, CamDawg coded the Battleguard kit in DR; then he worked on the IWD-in-BG2 mod; the both CamDawg and that mod joined Beamdog; and then they produced IWDEE. So the OHTEMPUS version is a later, updated version of the same kit written largely by the same guy. Therefore it should be preferred (by default, anyway). And since EETweaks installs the IWDEE kit, therefore the EETweaks version should be preferred by default over the DR version.

Ah ok, I wasn't aware of that :new_thumbs:  I was saying it as a reminder due to some revised patches introduced in Textpack English 15.6 (Les Exiles de Lunargent and Vendedor DLAN)

BG1EE (for once) tactical preset install, some errors.

Gavin NPC for Tutu, BGT, and BG:EE (Gavin NPC) was not installed due to errors.
Not enough information in the BWS install log.  Please upload setup-gavin.debug from game folder.

I checked Gavin's code.  %Beregost% is defined as AR3300 in Gavin's g3_bgee_cpmvars.tpa (no problem so far).

 

But in gavin.tp2 file I see this at lines 253-254:

 

COPY_EXISTING ~%Beregost%.wed~ override

                          ~%Beregost%N.wed~ override

 

I checked my copy of BGEE and there is no AR3300N.wed -- so it seems Gavin needs a patch for BGEE.

 

Possible solution:  add %Beregost%N.wed to the ALLOW_MISSING section at the top of gavin.tp2 (starting line 23):

 

ALLOW_MISSING // allow if BG Graphics night WEDs are not installed
AR6700N.WED
FW3300N.WED
// add %Beregost%N.wed here ... or AR3300N.wed if WeiDU does not expand variables here
ALWAYS

Lollorian -- looks like kittomes\lib\tbgcom_bgee_vars.tpa is missing this variable definition (copied from g3_bgt_cpmvars.tpa):

hlolaf.cre is Olaf Rasmussen, one of the BG2 Temple District Guarded Compound crew.  IWDification checks for AR0602.BCS before trying to patch this creature.

New bg2ee test with latest build. tactical preset.
 
tactical preset still selects tashia full version along with imoen romance mod, obviously that will have issues

A quick question: latest (well at least latest two days ago) BWS master gives conflict between Sandrah and Jarls Adventure pack. Since I want to have both, I ignored this waning and pressed "continue". Next window gave me some wague text with two options of "no" and "yes". Picking any of these options brings me back to the conflict resolving screen, with no way for me to ignore the conflict.

Please advise, what do I have to do to either remove the conflict from BWS data or to bypass the warning?

Creepin, if you see a ** then it is a warning and you can right-click to ignore. Otherwise you can edit Config\BWP\Game.ini and remove the rule. However please note that conflict rule comes directly from the Sandrah NPC readme -- expect problems if you do this!

zonx, thanks for the report! GPWSLAY.bcs.baf comes from Ascension's tougher Gromnir component. We just updated BWS to use the newest EE version of Ascension. I will report this to the modders.

agb1, thank you for your prompt reply! Do you think in future it will be possible to have an "Ignore problem" option for Sandrah-Jarl much like it is done for NTotSC - Jarl? Would be so much more convenient.

For current release I have edited out offending incompatibility succesfully, thanks for your hint :) As for the consequences - I've studied carefully what is stated as the reason for incompatibility under Sandrah's topic, and figured it's much less inconvenient for my planned gameplay than lack of either Sandrah's modifications to RoT or Jarl's Adventure Pack.

Creepin, could you post your analysis and conclusions about this conflict in Sandrah forum? If Roxanne agrees then I will change the rule to a conflict warning. Otherwise it remains outside of the supported usage of Sandrah so I will leave the rule in place.

agb1, this is not much of an analysis actually, and also I had in mind very specific gameplay, so I don't think this would be of any use for Roxanne, but I'll write it down here in case it could be of any use to you :)

The problem with GPWSLAY.bcs is caused by the line "0 ANYONE" in EA.ids. Updating BWS to use WeiDU 238.01 beta would be the simplest solution currently but using beta WeiDU in BWS is not recommended, so it would be ideal if we could get a new stable release of WeiDU.
