Uhm, I guess "this does not work" is not as helpful as "this does not work because"...
The reasons why should be visible in the logs (Setup-XYZ.debug for each mod in your BG2-dir or files within BiG World Setup\Logs, eg. BiG World Download Debug.txt and so on).

First of all, thanks so much for this awesome tool and for keeping it actual!

Sadly, trying to install "Arkenors Adventure Selection" + SSC failed, as "Sword Coast Stratagems (v27)", "Item Revisions", "Mur' Nath NPC" and "Gavin NPC" Mods failed to install.

Additionaly, some links are broken.

Hope this helps...

Greetings

Try the following, should at least fix some of the problems:

- extract the item revisions archive again and overwrite the folder in your BG2 Directory

- download the latest item revisions fixpack from the gibberlings 3 site and overwrite the folder again, this shold install without further problems

- the mur'neth installation is broken, hopes for a fix are not very good, so you should leave that out

- i'm installing scs right now, my last attempt to install with v26 gave me an error with the sword and fist mod, so left that out too

for any other problems please post the exact error message that you see in the window.

Open the SETUP-BGT.DEBUG -file with Notepad and see what the weidu.exe's version is, as a very similar problem was fixed with the v235 update... and of course make sure the BG1 install is OK when ever trying to install the BGT.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Stopped reading @ page 8. Did you ever get the TS-BP situation taken care of? If not, let me know. I'm quite allowed to.

FYI mur'neth works fine with the patch i found through google, it was either here or on gibberling3, the tp2 file replacement means install now works fine in a bwp. i'll see if the link is in my history or something but i have the file on my hdd if it needs reuploading.

Checking my Setup-Weidu log, I see this

    WeiDU v 23500 Log

 C:\Games\Baldur's Gate 2\Setup-WeiDU.exe
 version = 23400
 version = 23600

Which I assume mean I have 235 installed.

Checking Setup-BGT.DEBUG, installed through BWS, I see

WeiDU v 23400 Log

So not sure what happened.

Are you installing it in "Program Files" by any chance? If yes, try a different path. And be sure to have admin rights when you run the BWS. Run the autoit3.exe as admin if you are not sure.

Installed under C:/Games (custom directory), and definitely running admin. Am using Win 8 though, not sure if the OS is the problem. Also have a few different anti-virus/anti-spyware up (Spybot and Windows Defender).

Funnily enough, running setup-BGT directly recognize WeiDu as v235, but seems that BWS BGT uses v234 for whatever reason.

I also have Windows 8, I don't think that is the problem. Try disabling the AVs. If it still doesn't work, replace the setup-bgt.exe file before it runs and after BWS replaces them.

Let's say I just wanted to run the silent extraction script for all the files in my Big World Download folder...

Is there a way to do this?

@tuxr/Quiet: If you want that the BWS replaces "old" Weidus with current ones, try to remove this line (115) from Includes\09_install.au3
If $Size + 100000 < FileGetSize($g_GameDir&'\'&$Setup[$s]) Then ExitLoop ; prevent overwriting betas with current setups (which are much smaller)
As the comment says, I added that line to prevent the usage of WeiDU-betas. As far as I understand the current status quo, that line is obsolete anyway.

Edit: Also replace line 1228:
If ($p_Size <> 0) And ($p_Size+100000<$Size) Then; do nothing if WeiDU is a beta and would be overwritten by a stable WeiDU - beta is a bit bigger, so use size here
Else
	FileCopy($g_GameDir&'\WeiDU\WeiDU.exe', $g_GameDir&'\'&$p_File, 1); Just update the WeiDU-setupfile
EndIf

With
If $p_Size = 0 Then Return; do nothing if WeiDU does not exist
FileCopy($g_GameDir&'\WeiDU\WeiDU.exe', $g_GameDir&'\'&$p_File, 1); Just update the WeiDU-setupfile

First of all thanks to all the people who support BWS. I have a problem with a BWS install specifically with SCS v27. I have tried multiple installations and every time  I get the following error:

Spoiler

Previously I tried v25 and v26 of SCS and they both froze with out of memory errors as well. I tried to attach my install log but the file was too big and I'm not sure whats okay to delete from the log, thanks for your help in advance!

Well, have you considered the fact that you might have ran out of the memory ? ...the large installs can easily take say 30 to 50 Gb's hard drive space.

The logs can easily fit into a few hundred kb's inside a .zip archive instead of the 15 to 25 Mb's .txt file. Which is why the general forums support the use of archive rather well.

Hi, on clean install I BWS gives me the following error:

And in the SCS debug file have:

That's not a disk error, it's a memory error, and it's an OCAML problem - some string is too long or something. Some SCS function, that copes perfectly well with vanilla or lightly-modded BG2, is choking on the size of megamodded BG2. If the log is posted I might be able to have a look at a way around it (though supporting megamods is not my top priority.)

Ah, thanks for the help everyone here is my install log. I believe I did a Tactics install with some smaller mods left out. I also hit retry to see if that would help it go through but it didn't. I have 8 gigs of RAM atm, if getting more might help just let me know. I also have 120 GB of free space on my hard drive if that helps any.

Almost certainly not - this is a matter of OCAML implementation of code, not of your hard-drive resources.

I downloaded an 10/30 version of the BWS, but it won't recognize the older SCS v21 but goes for v27.

Can it still be installed anyway?
