won't make for eg: Regin of Terror to be magically BG2EE compatible...The remark is there for a reason, and it's that even if you remove the requirement with BWP Fixpacks patch, there's likely something else wrong with it too, and testing those needs to be handled with care.
I do not understand this remark?? I use BWS standard selection, and do not try to install something that is not in it (e.g. RoT). Those failing mods are in the BWS selection.

Running new BG2EE install with commit bp-test ef7801a (2nd most recent at time of post)
When BWS says "adjusting configuration file" is when my dvd drive is ejected. Not really sure otherwise whats going on with it. Not a big deal.
Do you have an opinion on which if any of the conflicting components should be removed from the tactical pre-selection? Those are all conflict warning rules, therefore ignorable (meaning you can actually have BWS install both/all of the components shown to be in conflict).
- Might and guile #420 scout thief kit + revist swashbuckler vs rogue rebalancing #1 thief kit revisions
Could be OK together? This RR component makes swashbuckler use fighter thac0, M&G's component makes slight alterations to swashbuckler proficiencies and alters the pros/ cons of the kit.
- Rogue rebalancing #1 thief kit revisions vs EET Tweaks #10 3E flanks replace backstabs
EET Tweaks is a fairly big change, probably not something to preselect.
- might and guile #215 revised spellcasting tables vs klatu tweaks #2190 streamlined wizard progression
M&G adjusts the casting tables on more classes (mostly paladins, rangers, bards), klatu fairly straight forward, might test them together sometime
- SCS initalise #1000 vs BP #650 humanoids
SCS init seems essential ("required for SCS"), but not how much of an effect they have together, might test
- SCS #6000 smarter general AI vs BP #550 generic thieves
general AI might be the better choice for better coverage, especially as I unselected BP humanoids in the above.
- BP #1210 starter dungeon vs SCS #8000 starter dungeon
Might require a playthrough of them to determine.
Given how long WeiDU 238.01 beta has been available now, I'm tempted to just have BWS use it, at least on the bp-test branch.
To me this sounds reasonable as it does seem to be a testing branch, but I wouldn't know the full effect this might have.

Not sure what mod amtgen01.cre is from Tactics/Questpack (Oasis combat tweak). That file seems to be the one causing trouble for Item Randomiser. Can you upload a copy of it from your generalized biffing backup folders? Even better would be a --change-log (see Imp's Mega Mod FAQ) so we can see which other mods tweaked it and what they did.
Not sure how that Nathaniel portrait component is getting past the new dependency rule in BWS. In my copy Nathaniel 1 (that portrait component) is not allowed without Nathaniel 0 (main component).

Hey, is the "0003: New ending for Viconia Romance by Laufey" component causing issues as well? I still don't understand why it is in the Edwin Romance mod. But anyway, I wanted to install just that component when I do my BG2EE install. Should I not? Or if nothing's wrong with it could that one component be classified under Stable instead of Expert?

Wow, this is beyond amazing, thank you so much for your tremendous efforts in making this absolutely essential and fantastic tool, it has everything anyone could want to mod & enhance their BG: II gameplay.
I would totally be lost if it want's for this great tool, it has a great amount of options, helpful hints, it even shows you conflicts, and it has a very detailed guide to help guide you through the installation process it flawlessly.

* BG1EE, BG2EE and BWP/BGT Game.ini overhaul: these three game types now have almost identical rules, with differences mostly at the beginning of the file for ease of maintenance (because of EET, the BG2EE rules are mostly a superset of BG1EE rules, but BG1EE purge rules are still different because we don't want to hide BG1 content without EET for example) and some other BGT/EET specific rules were not copied over to BG1EE
* Might and Guile updated to 1.6.1, no new components, some component description improvements
* Scales of Balance component 586 (add Purifier druid kit) component warning for BWP/BGT game type only

Sigh. The new EE version of Ascension uses different component numbers, so we can't use the same component numbers in the rules for both EE and non-EE versions.
