Aw heck. No, it's not installed. Is it too late? I've already completed the mines of Nashkel.

Also did you make Sandrah? I'm doing my first ever evil playthrough in my first ever modded playthrough, so I didn't end up using her, but Montaron's been doing miracles with Gorion's dagger.

Just to see that I understand correctly:

- you have an EET install?

- you have a lot of mods installed (maybe even Sandrah? NTotSC as well?)

- you do not have BP_BGT worldmap?

Your issue may be that you have mods installed that require the big worldmap but you do not have it. You can still install it, but in order to make it work in game, you also have to make a change to your savegame (if you know how to do that with Near Infinity.)

Maybe you can post the Weidu.log here (the file itself, not the contents - or the contents but put it into spoiler then).

PS - Sandrah will join an evil party as well - it depends on how you play *evil* whether she stays or leaves you. And Gorion's dagger is just a weapon if you do not have her in party, nothing will happen with its quest unless Sandrah is there.

Thanks for the responses!

Yes, I have an EET install, through BiG World Setup.

Yes, I have a lot of mods installed, including Sandrah but shockingly not NTotSC.

No, I do not have BP_BGT worldmap.

I know that some mods weren't available for download when I ran the installer. I'll go ahead and share the Weidu log here, in a spoiler. :]

Y'know, the list seems very small. Especially given almost 6 hours of installation.

Spoiler

Sorry, my mistake, I was not clear enough.

Wjat you posted is the weidu.log from the BG1 part of the install and this looks fine.

You also have a weidu.log in the BG2EE directory. It contains all mods installed after EET and you should look at this too. Some mods even if they have BG1 contents are installed here.

Oh, right. Thanks! Turns out NTotSC is in there, and I can see a BP-BGT-WORLDMAP, so I have some sort of worldmap thing going on.

I propose you try this:

Download

http://www.shsforums...attach_id=29330

Extract to the BG2EE folder and run the exe just like for any other mod.

I'm so confused. I was about to download that when I went back into my game. I just fully explored Red Canyon and as I was about to travel to Rocky Coast, the world map came in with full colours. It's HUGE. How much of that is actually in the game? I assume it's just BG + BG2? Holy moly.

You have more installed than just BG1 + 2. There is SoD but also many mods adding areas to worldmap - Drizzt Saga, NTotSC, DSotSC, TDDz, Sandrah Saga etc.

I went to the Temple of Lathander with 1 reputation and Sandrah attacked me, calling me a murderer. After she cast time-stop, once she came back into real time, she was suddenly friendly with a party coloured ring under her feet, but she was still fighting and my guys ended up killing her. Then when I went to the Friendly Arm Inn to rest, instead of sleeping I got a dialogue about how I've done nothing to try and resurrect her, even though she wasn't in my party when she died.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to report this, I'm kinda clueless about this forum. :[ Also I wasn't out to kill her. I avoided killing people, I was just very rude - like I refused to give back the jade ring from the dead husband in the Nashkel mines. Things like that. But once you hit 1 reputation I think you get Flaming Fist Mercenaries on you every time you enter a town so I mean, by the time I met her I had killed maybe two dozen lawful good lads. So she wasn't wrong.

I think that you must have killed Brage in order to provoke such a reaction from Sandrah. Reputation loss alone is not causing this. The *dream sequence although not in party* issue has been fixed but you seem to have an earlier version still.

All the other reactions for killing innocents are vanilla game behaviour and not due to mods.

Having the reputation of 1 generally makes everyone hostile, even the Chaotic Evil NPC who would join the charnames party do this, so having too low rep will doom the whole game unless you run into a Temple that you get to donate gold onto, without making them too hostile from paniced hostile cries of help.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

I haven't had any issues with anybody joining me. The only issues are when the Flaming Fist fights me in public. People that see that get hostile, but that's it. (also yeah I did kill Brage oops my bad)

I may end up restarting as a good character as, honestly, playing as an evil one isn't very different at all.

Any possibility to run this on a mac? Probably not, but is it maybe possible to run it on a pc and then copy paste all of it into the Shadows of Amn folder? Except the .exe wouldn't patched and there might be a load of other issues.

There are experiments and experiences from some mac users who did something like running on pc and transferring override to mac.

There is a dedicated discussion topic for this at Gibberlings3 forum. My best hint is to try contact a forum member and modder called http://www.shsforums...1-subtledoctor/ who does stuff for mac and has much experience in this respect.

1) Try running BG in WINE and maybe BWS will work within the WINE environment - after all some people have gotten ShadowKeeper to work this way.

Expense: free. Technical effort involved: huge. Chance of success: very small.

2) Create a virtual install of some Windows-based OS. VirtualBox is free, and it's not terribly uncommon to have some very out-of-date Windows install media laying around. I have an XP disc from ~2001 that I'm still using for this. Then you can run BWS in the virtual machine and transfer the /override, /lang, and /sound folders to your Mac.

Expense: possibly free. Technical effort: mediumish? Chance of success: pretty good.

3) Install and run BWS on an existing Windows PC, and then transfer the /override, /lang, and /sound folders to your Mac.

Expense: need to have a whole other computer, or a Boot Camp partition on your Mac. Technical effort: easy. Chance of success: good.

Note: there could be issues if you are playing the old engine (BGT) instead of the EEs. And there could be issues if you are using ancient mods that use Windows-only tools, the .bat files for operations external to Weidu or using single-platform versions of Sox instead of cross-platform versions of Sox, etc. These days there is really no good reason to have OS-specific versions of a mod, and the EEs work nicely with all different kinds of sound files that the old engine couldn't use. But some mods are simply out of date or don't use best practices so you have to watch out for that.

Hello,

the EE(T) Version works fine on MAC if copied from Windows

You will need the Mac-Version of the EE(T) Game

(its a PC emulator in reality....)

but the BGT version wont run properly for some reason ;-(

Just noticed BiG World Setup at https://bitbucket.or...p/bigworldsetup no longer has an active code maintainer. BWS dying at long last, or is a new form of it in progress?

What it means is that nobody can code new features or add new games to the scope or alter the functionality. It is not dead, as new or updated mods, dependencies, download links etc are not hard-coded but in configuration files. Those are still maintained, at least for the EET and EE versions of games (BGEE, BG2EE, EET, IWDEE, PSTEE).

There is also no hinderance to maintain the classic games as well, just simply nobody has enough interest to do it. It is open for anyone to volunteer for it.

I've got BGT working on a Mac.

EDIT - wait, I see. Yeah, the BGT installer doesn't work on MacOS. So you need to install BGT on Windows, then move it to a Mac, (best save a clean copy at this point) and then you can add whatever mods on the Mac side.

EET will actually install from the ground up on a Mac. It's good stuff. ;) One more reason to step up to playing the EE games. (Other reasons include: opcode 321, opcode 318, opcode 326, opcode 337. Excellent stuff for modders.)
