@ Ulcaster ruins greater wolfwere
That one is from the Vault.

10th

Thanks 10th!

I attached my Weidu.log to my post, I forgot to do that last night. And yes, I have Vault installed... I thought that those spawns could come from Stratagems, but now I'll follow your tip and report back.

Best regards.

Do you have a data folder in CD1:=D:\Spel\BGII - SoA\data\ -folder, or is there something else ? Like the AR1000A.bif files etc.

There is a data folder; \BGII - SoA\data\Data, in addition to the *.bif files.

I just went ahead with the big world setup; I know it installs an older version, but it is working for me.

Thanks for the reply.

I got the Peladan in Ulcaster thing once as well. I guess it's time to fix it :P

Hey @Lollorian,

I saw you mentioned that in another thread (I think older), but I didn't see that particular one... Sorry, if I had seen it I would have posted there instead of here :)

The thing that bothered me the most was the pause/unpause thing that was getting me crazy!

I don't know how I can be of help to debug that, since I'm sure that there's some problem in the scripts that causes it: from the moment I did my editing, the issue disappeared on my end.  I've seen the issue pop here and there in other threads... none of them pointed to the real cause of the problem, though.

But no matter, at least I can play the game without freezing now! :P

Best wishes,

Leandro.

If possible, please copy the contents of your original stuttering BALDUR.BCS and attach it here. Yes deleting the copy in the override will give you the original BCS :P

Also, it would be great if you could narrow it down to which blocks are actually causing the stutter (delete blocks in batches instead of all in one go :P) because that drow disintegration script is HUGE :crying: (also, Turambar's code for that thing is complicated as shit )

Ok... good idea, I can do that...

For now I'll start by attaching the scripts here (gimme a moment to get them...) so anyone interested can take a look... Since weekend's at end for me now, I'll get to the try-by-blocks thing as soon as I have some free time during this week... next weekend at worst! Promise! :)

Yeah... I agree... those scripts are huge... ~17K lines of code (the uncompiled text) and the bits I removed were about ~2K lines from both of them (maybe a bit less, I don't know...)

I'll get back and edit this post in a couple of mins...

EDIT: Attached a 7z file with the full scripts, both 'Original' i.e. 'as biffed' and 'my edits'  which are the ones in the override. The archive also contains two .diff files which shows the lines that get added in the scripts when I remove the ones from the override dir.

 Attached File  Baldur-BAF-Scripts.7z   37.92K   144 downloads

I'll try to do some block by block tests tomorrow, if I have some spare time...

Cheers1

Erhm you have problems with downloading and opening the .pdf file ? The v13 uses the BP v181.

PS, if you have an install, open the weidu.log file with Notepad and find out...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

But there are multiple v181s ... the pdf doc doesn't give the exact one, does it? sorry if I'm missing something obvious. I actually haven't done an install of BWP v13 yet so can't look at log. I got as far as the mod check and stopped because BP was listed under missing.

BWP v13.pdf, Weidu.log :

Yes, Leonardo installs using the German language, but ...

Ah, many thanks, it turned out I was missing something obvious :)

For some reason, though, even when I include this version I still get BP listed under missing mods. So I'm going to try the last version of v180 tonight to see if BWP recognises that instead.

I searched to see if this is already addressed but I noticed that during my big world install I'm getting 2 versions of the 7th level confusion spell for priests. One is conjuration summoning the other is enchantment charm. I looked in shadowkeeper and there is actually 3 versions of the spell. It's crowding out other 7th level priest spells on my spellbook.

What are the file names of the spells ? Open the Shadowkeeper, load the save, go to the "Priest" tab and scroll the bar to the left and you see the "Resource" name of the spell, just add in the .spl at the end and you can make a --change-log out of it if you wish to know what mods adds them etc.

PS, you need two spells doe to the fact that the Mages could cast the "same spell", but the third is extra one... well possibly at least.

Resource SPPR739 and 709 respectively. Sorry I don't know how to make a change log. Unless there are clearer instructions somewhere?

Resource SPPR739 and 709 respectively. Sorry I don't know how to make a change log. Unless there are clearer instructions somewhere?

Make a new text file, open it with Notepad and copy this code into it:

mkdir change-log
WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log sppr739.spl >change-log/change-log1.txt --out change-log
WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log sppr709.spl >change-log/change-log2.txt --out change-log

Save that as "change-log.bat" ... and then just run it in the game folder. The .bat starts the windows command promp(CMD.exe), and it should create a change-log folder into the game folder where you have two files, open them and copy paste the content to a post. The #6.2 shows the expected result...

Also I notice that Ithlytch the druager leader in Irenicus dungeion is unkillable. His conversation doesn't trigger. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the BP I have in my megainstall

I was wondering. I have the DnD Anthology Master Collection. Does anyone know how to get the BWP setup to run on it ? It tells me the cd5/25 movies bif is missing and/ or that I have not patched it (Which I have).....and I read in the guide....if I understand right you need to Install SoA -alone- then ToB correct ? Or does it not matter ?

The general FAQ is for problems like this... the #2Q3... answers are what you are seeking, even though it's directed to the GoG installers, the answer is still there.

Well thank you for atleast trying to help, but I have way to little knowledge that this answer is all in code to me. I probably should go to a less technical website. Choosing the one where it was created was probably to much, or its best to toss the idea of the bwp and mods. I read the 2Q3 section and I have no idea what to do and where to go and how to make sense of that one. I am a TT gaming nerd maybe I should stick to that ! I apologize =)
