This showed up when I installed BGT without any other mods. I'm at a loss here..

(Clean you install by first uninstalling the game and then removing the game folder ..as.. ) You probably had a old mod installed already to the game folder that was never removed form there when you installed the game to it.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Ended up having to do just that, removing the entire game from my HD just because of this one text issue. I'm guessing this glitch was a result of the dialog.tlk file being altered by a mod.

I decided to use BWP instead for installing my mods since it's clear manual installation is a no-go.  In any event I attached a updated WEIDU mod order list here: Does this seem to have less conflicts?

It should work fine. BG2 Fixpack v10 was released some time ago if you want to use the latest version though.

Ok but since I already have this version installed, how do I go about switching to the latest version? Will BWP do that for me automatically?
