It's been many years, inspired by Trilogy and all the other great mods I'm starting a new playthrough with a Lawful Evil Sorcerer. I'm using a set of mods very close to BWP recommended. I've never played an Evil character before, looking forward to seeing some interesting NPC interactions. That said I'm going to keep the party small, no larger than 3-4 for the most part.
So my question is, what NPCs would you recommend? From the standpoint of NPCs that might be far more interesting when played in BGT, with banter packs, NPC project, Tortured Souls, TDD etc. For BG2 my choices are relatively easy: Viconia, Korgan, Yoshimo/Jan with occasional others.
For BG, not so easy. I will probably use Branwen, but outside of that I'm not sure who would be interesting. Safana? Kagain is boring. Edwin/Xzar are Mages I don't need, Jaheira/Minsc/Dynaheir/Khalid/Ajantis I've played with before. Viconia might be interesting, but since I've never used Branwen before and they're both Clerics I'm not sure what to do with her. Tiax will probably make an appearance, but only at the end.
So any suggestions, are there any NPCs that are actually interesting enough in BG to be worth it for personality after mods?
