What's on the other side of this bridge?
What evil lurks in these caverns?

I want the bridge! I want to pick mushrooms and do picnics on that bridge! And discover new things, naturally. I love the nearby area, very real.
Is there a waterfall animation? I probably can't appreciate it fully on a static picture, though.

@Kulyok: The animation will have to be done as a bam. With a bit of care it's possible to get a fairly decent depiction of falling water using the background as 'show through'.
@Corby: A minor word of warning from an area-maker's perspective. Someone is going to have to turn these renders into full game areas and they're going to have a serious problem with the river in the main area. To get the water overlay to display correctly they're going to have to draw round all of the overhanging foliage which is going to be a nightmare with those deciduous trees at top-left. Once that's complete, they will then have to do a lot of cutting-out to get the water to show between leaves/ branches. The more you can minimise that type of overhang, the easier it will be to add water overlays. By 'minimise' even preventing the river from showing between the branches by increasing the foliage thickness will make life easier. The conifers don't look quite so difficult to work with.

Hello, just a little encouragement for your beautiful works,
As Iclone followers, I observe by reading you, that Earthsculptor associated to Iclone, coupled with 3DXchange, could offers on mapping & animation I.E. modding, an amazing Pipeline perspective ...
Please, continue to share a maximum of tips regarding advancing of your works (especially in Mapping/Bamisation/Integration Process), to help us in a some future Projects .
What's on the other side of this bridge?
-Some naughty new trolls variety ... ? (*)
FYI,
Animation portage in 3ds/Iclone exchange :
(*) : Port., Eg, from TOEE/NWN/Model/Motions, composition .
- (BTW, I'm looking for a 3d model remake from an IE sprite, to prerendering animation tests portage purpose, in Iclone Pipeline, TY) .

@Kulyok: Thanks!
@ Yovaneth: That's a good idea. Maybe I can just clone in some branches to fill in those gaps.
@Salomonkane: Hmmm, I don't have iClone and never used it before. Earthsculptor exports to most 3D programs I believe, but iClone needed it's own plugin from what I understand. I do know that 3DS Max is much more versatile, but have heard iClone is good for animations? Or was that Daz3D? Maybe I'll try animating a monster sometime.

Um, insert "your mom" joke here...
"Ok, I've just about had my FILL of riddle asking, quest assigning, insult throwing, pun hurling, hostage taking, iron mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

Alright Kulyok, guess this one :
Posted 02 September 2013 - 12:28 AM
A Fleur-de-Lys atop a winged sword? Uh-oh. That's a hard one: The Silver Marches and Google don't outright mention this coat-of-arms.
It can't be Herald's Holdfast - that's overgrown. Not Castle of Illusion, either - that's the second Hellgate Keep of sorts. Rivermoot or High Hold? River or hill? Isn't shown, so not important. The coat of arms is, and it can belong to Methrammar Aerasumé, Lady Alustriel's son, which makes that Rauvinwatch Keep.

But it's all unimportant - I forgot to mention how I love the keep! I ccan almost touch the walls. I want to argue with local guards, buy a hot pie and a new sword, and do all sorts of exiting things there!

These are, hands down, the best-looking areas I've seen outside the games themselves. (In some respects, I think they actually surpass them.) Have you been doing these to simply practice, or do you intend to use them for a project?
