Thanks for the tip on the install pack. Leonardo is working on a new version of the BWP package to help handle this mod overhaul, but maybe this can help others in the meantime..  I'm fairly sure the Fixpack fixes are no longer needed in BPv181, so don't worry about that for now.

I accounted for it in the version of the Big World Install.bat  I posted in another thread, and it recognized BP (181+). However, I must have made some other error, because on occasion it did not install BP despite recognizing it. That's why I'm also waiting on Leonardo's revisions. He is definitely the master of his own filepack. I'm just a good-intentioned, fumbling interloper by comparison. ;)

Well, my install worked fine with the files you provided. I checked the "BiG World Install Debug.txt" and it showed all BP stuff installed perfectly. I did however notice that in the "BiG World Install.bat" and "list.txt" that there are still old references to BP180. However, I believe that when you use the BWS, the BWS overrides these when you select "BWS: Big world project - Detailed Customization" on the first screen of BWS as opposed to selecting "Big world install.bat"; i.e. then the list (and its pointers) in the Big world setup folder is used instead to tell BWP what to install and where to get it.

Is my understanding of this correct? Would you be able to answer me Horred or should I try asking Dabus (creator of BWS)? The standard install takes from BP the improved fights (improved illesera for example); I am guessing I can just test it like this (by testing if Illesera is improved at the start of TOB)? What exactly are the differences in the fight compared to the original Illesera (so I can know whether the BP actually installed correctly).

The BWS does not use the batch during the install. (I guess people expect that since the BiG World is in its name.)

It uses the instructions from the selected games select.txt. There are calls for smoothpack, fixpack, textpack, trimpack but not installpack.
I separated the BWS from being a wrapper for the installpack because it does not contain some information like: alternatives for component x, dependencies within mods (lets say you want to remove scsII component X from the selection, will that affect other components and so on. Leonardo was also putting in new features and new variables every now and then and the batch didn't look like now at all so I felt that it was easier if I separated the installation-instructions from the batch when I created the BWS.
(In fact it was batches back then, shipping with files for different languages and different pre-selections.)

So if you want the BWS to set up an BWP-install like kovarex did, you'll need both modifications (BWP installpack and BWS).

THINK! - It's not illegal.

The BP wasn't installed indeed (although I changed the name in List.txt)

The install.bat contains lot of references to BPv180. What kind of modifications to the installer am I supposed to do?

Will the game just miss the BP features, or  the BP absence might cause some seriour trouble?

Hi Dabus,

Thanks so much for confirming that for me, appreciate it! As you explained it then, it would mean that indeed BP would have installed successfully (as the BWS logs show)! I will probably start my playthrough soon and test it just to make sure, but all should be fine then.

Thanks again Dabus (for BWS) and Horred (for the BP181 fixes to the BWS files), appreciate your effort.

I don't perceive troubles with your game, other than the complete absence of BP's AI and features My fault for not being clear--you must must the BWS Detailed Customization mode for this to work. When Leonado gets his update done, the batch mode will work once again.
