The package includes a set of lightweight highlighters for:

• WeiDU_Light_TP2.xml: WeiDU script files (*.tp2,*.tph,*.tpa,*.tpp)
  
• WeiDU_Light_BAF.xml: Script text files (*.baf)
  
• WeiDU_Light_D.xml: WeiDU dialog files (*.d)
  
• WeiDU_Light_TRA.xml: WeiDU translation files (*.tra)

The main purpose of the light version is to reduce the processor load, and hence the time needed for Notepad++ to apply the color schemes to the script files. Alternatively you can install the full version of the WeiDU Syntax Highlighters for Notepad++.

The syntax highlighter files work in Notepad++ v6.3 and later. You can find the editor here.

Installing the highlighter definitions is very easy. Just open Notepad++, select Language->Define your language..., use the Import button to install the respective XML files and restart Notepad++. You should see the new entries at the bottom of the Language menu. For more detailed instructions see the readme.

The color schemes and keyword lists can be easily customized using Notepad++'s edit capabilities.

Note: This release will be the last update to the 'Light' variant of the WeiDU Syntax Highlighter. This variant has been originally created to work around the poor performance in earlier Notepad++ releases after introducing their new UDL syntax highlighting definition format. The situation improved considerably in later Notepad++ releases, which makes this variant redundant.
