First Yvette seems to be a nice mod from what i've seen so far - I really like the idea of how you get her, very original, and look forward to knowing how she became a painting. She 's a good girl, even if a bit too nice for her own good in a setting as dark as BG2.
Now for my problem : after she gave me berries I ate them and said they tasted good or something like that and she seemed pelased with my answer. A few time later I bought her a book in Lathander's temple and said I returned the favor or just that i liked to give gifts I think.
Then she became silent for quite some time so I used shadowkeeper to check and the YVETTROMANCEACTIVE was now on 3. I don't know what went wrong, I do have another romance mod : Tyris Flare (from G3) but it shouldn't conflict with other romance mods and her romance was already active before. My character is a paladin and my reputation never dropped (starting at 12). She also didn't said or done anything to show she was pissed at me.
So at the time I tried to change the YVETTROMANCEACTIVE back to 2 and the YVETTROMANCETALK to 24, but all it does is the dreaded "character stops every two or three steps to try to talk" bug (let's call this the CS2T6) so I put the variables back to 3 and 25 and the CS2T6.
Unfortunately the romance is dead, but I thought "what the heck, I can still enjoy the mod" so I went on anyway. But now I'm at Spellhold, after I reached the portal where the djinn will appear when I have all 3 gems, and the CS2T6 is back with a vengeance. She had a talk on the stairs to say she was drawn to something at north before.
Now I'm stuck : if I kick Yvette out, my party is Short a member and of course if would be a shame, and I don't feel like doing the boring stuff in Brynlaw again if I'm to restart at the save before i set sail for the island. So am I screwed or is there a way to get the romance back on track ? I would really like to keep playing with Yvette in my party.

The thing is that the book shuldn't be there, I think... It's at the Promenade. In the Temple she should talk about gods. I checked the variables and that should be fine, the triggers are rather strickt.
I don't know what went wrong, I do have another romance mod : Tyris Flare (from G3) but it shouldn't conflict with other romance mods and her romance was already active before.
And do you have G3 Crossmod installed? I don't remember if it was included already or is to be included, by Yvette romance may be killed if you romance other characters. But I think it was still to be implemented, so...

Because it wasn't 2 when something got wrong. In Yvette Romance, the relationship is set to 2 in chapter 6.

A pity you didn't let me know when strange things started to happen in the beginning, because we would spot the problem and fix it. Now, after this everything happened, it may be difficult to know if you said something wrong or maybe it was something else that killed the romance...
The thing that troubles me is - why it turned 3 in the beginning. But since it happened long time ago, it may be impossible to find out.
Now, fixing it would be rathe pointless -> the reason is in the spoiler. I'm sorry, I wish you could continue, but you're in an advanced moment right now.
Well, I can give you the codes that should be set in your moment in the game. Make sure that you're in the area where you meet Imoen (AR1512), away from the mirror/portal, and that you are still to see the genie from the portal. Then you may try these (pause the game for the time you use the console):

first I don't have crossmod since I wanted to have the 2 romances on the same walkthrough (so many romances to try, and BG2 is a looong game)
i clua'd what you gave me and it seems to work
from the dialog with Imoen I suppose I can take her back later - I certainly hope so

well I have the randomizer mod, but it doesn't affect all mods, and I thought it was a good place for the book since there's no Sune temple -and she did talk about Gods there
But you will still miss like 15 talks that should happen in chapters 2 and 3....
too bad but I can live with that as long as i can go on with the mod - I had one before the portal though, when I lace my shoes

well it took me quite some time to wonder why she was silent (maybe 4-5 minor quests and a week in-game and IRL) so I thought it was too late anyway, maybe you could give me a list of things that can kill the romance so that I see if I can find one in my game - oh and is she supposed to leave or say something if you screwed up ?

I'm glad it works.... well, there is another way you may want to try: active should be set to 1 and the other variable to 24 and then make sure you're not in the dungeon and advance real time, maybe the talk will still appear... I don't remember every line of my coding and I might have not blocked the talks for Brynnlaw Or you can just use the notepad and read the talks you skipped They are in YveJNAT (no action text version) or in YxYveJ (with action text) or something like that... Just be careful and don't read the talks that are still to appear
since there's no Sune temple
It won't have much to do with Yvette and Yvette is such a complex mod that I don't want to include any crossmod *in* the mod...but the news is that there will be a Temple of Sune in the new version of ISNF
As for killing the romance - it's not that easy I think it's mostly about the responses and kicking her out of the party... that's the reason why I feel a bit lost, huh.

It worked, I have yvette back in the party - btw it's not you that added 2 armored horrors when you find her, is it ? I have so many mods I don't always know who did what.
Will she have more content except dialogs and more "confrontations with the past" later ?
Anyway I really like your choice of music and the new area is really nice too.

The more you two talk, the more you know about her past and the more you understand and find out why she's back...
I really suggest reading the dialogues or in game or in notepad as it may be difficult to understand the story
And well... just play There are more talks in both SoA and ToB

Hello, I also have problems with Yvetteromance.....after escaping from Spellhold the romance does not go on, even after the escape from the underdark. "Yvetteromanceactive" stays 1, Yvetteromancetalk stays 42. Nothings happens, Yvette does not speak any more.
What may be wrong?

Here I am responding to this topic 4 years later!
I had the same problem that the original poster had, step stuttering included. I was not at the correct stage with the Yvette romance when I entered Spellhold. I also had YvetteRomanceActive = 3; I have no idea why based on my search for that variable in Near Infinity.
I changed the globals to the suggested values above and everything worked.
I'm wondering if part of the issue with this romance is that it assumes that you are much farther along in the romance than I was by the time you enter Spellhold. I basically started the romance during Chapter 3. It being 4 years later, it's probably too much to ask for an updated script to account for late bloomers, if you will. Maybe an accelerated romance path if you haven't reached a certain stage by the time Chapter 4 starts? Although that wouldn't address why the YvetteRomanceActive variable was set to 3.
