Bought the game off gog and is installed outside of program files. I'm trying to follow this guide: http://www.gog.com/n...ent_mods_guide.

Installed widescreen mod, and think it was successful. Installed 1600x900. When installing ghostdogs ui it quits pretty fast after choosing to install. Here is the debug.

It appears it is not detecting the widescreen mod, though when I install the widescreen mod it says it is successful. When I try to open up the game, everything is in the upper left and not filling the entire screen.

Anyone have any ideas? I've never played the game and heard this was the optimal experience.

Make sure you've extracted the mod in the main game folder where the Torment.exe is.

Try disabling your Antivirus and give it another go. Some AVs (especially AVG free) will not let the installation finish.

In some random cases when you install multiple weidu mods that use different versions of weidu, the automatic update during the installation gives an error. To fix that, you can copy the .exe with the most recent version over the other ones (rename it accordingly and replace the other mod executables). In this case copy widescreen.exe to desktop, rename it to Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe and move it back in to replace the original file.

I tried disabling the anti virus and switching the file name around. When I did that, the UI setup just hung on a different screen. Gog's default save path is C:\GOG\Planescape Torment so I don't think it's an issue with the program files. Currently going to try a clean install into a different directory, and see if it fairs better.

Thanks for the quick response!

Yes. CD_check.tph is a 1kb file in the same directory as the ghostdog ui setup file.

  Dammit  -Whiplash7x- , extract the mod exactly as it is !

In your Torment main directory there should be :

1. A folder named GhostDog's-PST-UI

2. Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe

3. Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.tp2

Pretty sure I did. I extracted all files to where my torment.exe was. Everything is in the same folder as the torment.exe file.

if CD_check.tph and Setup-GhostDog's-PST-UI.exe are in the same folder.
Then that is wrong.

Ahhh, I see. Got it to work. Winzip for some reason didn't have all files in the folders. Didn't know they were unorganized.

I installed the ghostdogs and everything went ok.

When I run the game, I got two errors in arow:

1) An error tells me that i'm not with a 16bit colour resolution, then I have the option to continue or don't.

2) For any option that I choose, the game tries to run then tells me that I'm low on disk space, and closes.

My windows 10 is on a ssd with 14gb free and the game itself is on a HD with 2.5tb o free space.

If I uninstall the ghostdogs the games just runs fine.

Open your Torment.ini file in the game folder, find the "cache size" or something similar, adjust it so that you add 500 or reduze it by that amount, as long as it says under 2000(the game can't use more), this will fix the programs inability to read the drives size correctly. Well up to a point. Yes, it's the base programs fault. The mod just adds into it, and the 2.5TB is a rather large considered the games size is 1.5Gb, and so the tech improved a lot in those ...18 years.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hello.

I found in the Torment.ini the follow:

CacheSize=1

Was the only entry with cache.

I changed it to 1500.
And the error still occurs.

This is also happening with other mods.

The solution was to install the game in a small ssd.

This mod and others seens to cause some issues in my 3 TB disk.

Get the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) (win10/win8)
or Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) ( xp/vista/win7)

and try the EmulateGetDiskFreeSpace Fix

this is probably something trivial that could be fixed by a community fixpack in the future.
